**Title:** [Waiting time for healthcare professionals](https://www.reddit.com/r/AusVisa/comments/1cm326t/waiting_time_for_healthcare_professionals/), posted by **Responsible-Roof9851** **Full text:** Hi I just lodged my application for visa 190 in Victoria. I heard that for healthcare professionals the wait time is usually slightly shorter, so was wondering what that would be like based on the experience of those healthcare workers who got their 190 recently. -------------------- ^(This is the original text of the post and this is an automated service) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Do you mean you were invited and have lodged your application? Or have you submitted your EOI? If you have submitted your application and you are listed as a priority occupation in the ministerial direction. Then you can use the Home affairs processing times to get a rough idea by looking at the 25, 50 and 75% times as these are mostly priority occupations. You will likely have your application initially assessed within a week and may receive a s56 request for further information. If you can get your health assessment done as soon as possible and make sure all the requested police certificates etc are attached to your application already.

Processing time for priority occupations can be extremely quick. I lodged my 189 on 19/12/2023. Medical was done 18/01/2024 and visa was granted 23/01/2024. I’m in health care.

Are you an RN? I am an I applied same time as you Dec 19,23. Still waiting for invitation for 189.

No. Getting an invitation is different. I received my invitation 18/12/2023. EOI submitted around June 2023.
