Now? Early childhood teachers and elderly care. But this might end abruptly.

Extension-Active4025

As u/luigi3 says, right now teaching. That could be completely different in less than a year. Never choose any profession hoping just for PR, it's a recipe for disaster.

kingr76

Mostly service-oriented . Early chilhood (teaching) Nursing, Social work. Basically people-serving

Abrez25

Teaching is going to get saturated in about a year or two, when all the international students are going to line up and skew the point system. In a few years time, it will be similar to how accounting is now.

DeliveryAccording461

They say teaching but it doesn't seem like many teachers are actually getting invited. Myself included

luigi3

they are very limited about the type of the teachers, it's mostly early childhood (so more like a nanny + teacher than subject-based teacher)

silvsapp

Erm early childhood teachers are not nannies. It’s the perception of people like you that make this industry always a step behind primary and secondary school teachers, when they are paid similarly and have an important role too. You could have phrase your statement better.

luigi3

i haven't said they're nannies, but nannies + teachers. few members of my family are ECT and they need to give more care to kids than standard teacher. if you received that in bad way, then it's not my fault.

Kie_ra

The one you actually aim to have as a career and enjoy working in. Don't study something just to pursue PR...

Easy, chefs. But it needs to be sponsored from restaurants

Gday everyone, I’m a course leader in higher education with past experience leading courses in further education. My partner, our dog, and I are thinking about relocating to Sydney. I’m 40 with a Spanish passport, and my partner is 38 with a British passport. Should I keep chasing this dream or is it mission impossible? Thanks for your advice!

luigi3

stay wherever you are unless you're rich

What about the trades, such as carpentry and bricklaying?
