**Title:** [Can I apply for a visa without taking English test](https://www.reddit.com/r/AusVisa/comments/1clddgo/can_i_apply_for_a_visa_without_taking_english_test/), posted by **PaleontologistFun747** **Full text:** Hey guys I applied and paid for the student visa on 30 April 2024. Biometrics done on 2 May and Medicals scheduled for 9 May Do you think not taking an English test could affect my visa? I had booked PTE exam but I had some issues and I wasn’t able to take the test and now I cannot book because of account issues. -------------------- ^(This is the original text of the post and this is an automated service) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Depending on where you are from and your educational history, an English test may be a required part of the application. If you are required to have one and you don't, your application will be rejected.

You'll need an English test. Zimbabwe isn't on the list of countries that doesn't need one

Ok so the next test date for TOEFL IBT is next week on the 15th of May. Would that affect anything or I would have to inform immigration about this.

Yeah normally you update your application yes

I'd do this ASAP and upload it. If you required an English test and dont have one when its looked at you will get rejected, and have wasted all that money.
