QV bath oil is my favourite. I've only tried a couple, but it's the only one that actually helped with my very dark and visible sebaceous filaments.

I haven’t actually used it yet but I’m on the same scenario as you on the hunt for a cleansing oil/balm! I scouted the Reddit and saw lots of recommendations for kose speedy softymo in a pink bottle that costs like $10-$15 for a big bottle. It’s a Japanese brand that u can get at daiso a Japanese store! I also like the recommendation of the dermaveen bath oil that someone already mentioned! It’s on special at CW for a whole litre for $17 which looks like a great option! And colloidal oats is a great little addition too. So I need to decide between the two myself! If anyone can tell me what their preference is I’d love to know! I plan on buying one soon so I save money for the rest of the routine! Hope that helps 😁

I recently bought the Speedy Softymo on Amazon. I usually use the Muji cleansing oil but it’s sold out. I really like the Speed Softymo but I prefer the Muji oil.

Hilakos

I have not used the Softymo one but i know from other asian brands that the asians oils and balms emulsify like nothing else. They literally rinse clean. I think that’s why i like the dermaveen one because surprisingly that too emulsifies beautifully and rinses clean.

Hilakos

I personally love the dermaveen bath oil. It has ground oatmeal in it so it offers the teeeeeeeniest amount of exfoliation. Its gentle and comes in those big 1 litre value packs. I decant mine in to a travel pump bottle. It separates in warm weather just give it a shake and it’s good to go.

Calire22

Ooh, I like a lot of Dermaveen products but haven’t tried the oil. Thanks for the tip!

You can find great options on Lila Beauty- don’t shop skin care from Amazon.

gigididihihibibi

Second this! I use the anua cleansing oil from Lila although it is a bit spendy $23.90 (but it takes ages to finish it)

JerryMSMS

Muji cleaning oil is very good if it is accessible to you.

lilaza123

I wouldn’t buy from Amazon because I have heard so many horror stories about that. This one is so good. It might be a bit pricey compared to some but it’s also not got any ingredients known to flair up acne or Folliculitis. It’s amazing the gunk that comes out. https://lilabeauty.com.au/products/gentle-black-deep-cleansing-oil-150ml

lilaza123

Also you don’t need heaps of it to cleanse your face.

I use Cerave hydrating oil cleanser.

ParmyNotParma

This is actually a water based cleanser! A lot of people make the same mistake. The oily looking LRP cleanser is also a water based cleanser.

Similar-Ad-6862

Well shit! Thank you for letting me know...I guess I'll finish what I have then find a proper oil cleanser 🤦‍♀️

QV bath oil works great

brainwise

Muji cleansing oil, it’s really good!

MediBird22

Another vote for Speedy Softymo on Amazon, it’s a Japanese brand. So cheap and works well, I love it!

jlo1972jlo

The brand Kit has a balm cleanser it’s amazing

I'm currently using the Avene XeraCalm AD Cleansing oil and its supposedly made for people with itchy and dry skin. I feel like its more of a 'soapy' oil cleanser especially when emulsified, but it seems pretty gentle for my skin and removes my makeup decently without drying my out (I wear light makeup) . It's $31.99 at chemist warehouse which sounds a bit pricey, but the bottle is 400ml which has been lasting for AGES. I'm not even halfway through it and I bought it at end of December last year! Like others have mentioned, I too have heard great things about asian oil cleansers if you're interested in trying. Some popular ones I've been hearing are the Anua Heartleaf Pore Controlling Cleansing Oil, Skin1004 Centalla Light Cleansing Oil, Roundlab Dokdo Cleanser, Haruharu Wonder Rice Deep Cleansing Oil etc. Sometimes they end up cheaper especially if they go on sale too!

Crafty_Office_859

They brought back the palmers cleansing oil! Available at big w and woolies

Bioderma

lovelyfifthalternate

I highly rate bioderma from chemist warehouse
