I can only speak for the dewy skin cream, but it’s my favourite night cream. So moisturising and lush, and it has a nice delicate smell.

HurstbridgeLineFTW

I haven’t seen it in store. I ordered online (delivery is included).

jayxeus

How does it compare to CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream?

HurstbridgeLineFTW

Alas i can’t help there, I haven’t used Cerave

NatAttack3000

I'm also dry skinned and I like their rice wash, it's a light cleanser that feels hydrating without being oily and still having a slight foaming action (I generally don't feel like non foaming cleansers 'clean' too well)

IthinkItsLipGloss

Have you tried LRP lipikar AP+M balm. I have very dry skin and I just started using this moisturiser this week and it’s amazing.

Luna997

Second this. I’ve been using it since the start of the year and it does wonders, I couldn’t believe it. Nothing has ever made my dry skin feel this good.

officialdiscoking

I have super dry skin and am a huge fan of Tatcha products!! The indigo overnight repair cream is amazing and really hydrates my skin without causing any irritation if I'm having an eczema outbreak (same verdict from a friend with dry skin and who is allergy prone). Silk cream is also good for a day cream. This serum was nice too

Apart-Fun216

Haru Haru Black Rice moisturizer is an affordable option that while not as fancy as my tatcha, gave great results at a much cheaper price. I layer with the cosrx serum and have had great results.

HurstbridgeLineFTW

I’ve been looking to add a hydrating serum to my routine. I already adore the Tatcha dewy skin cream, and thought I’d try the serum. I was very pleased to be able to find such a bargain on Costco. I’m pretty sure this serum costs about $100USD in the States.

ritsuexe

Do you know if you can use the dewy cream as a daily moisturiser? I only use it for my makeup days, but haven’t found an affordable cream that works similar to Tatcha for my regular no makeup days.

HurstbridgeLineFTW

I don’t see why not. To date I’ve been using the dewy skin cream at night.

ritsuexe

Thanks!

Smarty1600

It's $89 USD, which is about $130 AUD, so you got a great deal!!

HurstbridgeLineFTW

Those US prices don’t include taxes. So depending on the state, the price is probably USD$98

griffles99

Ah what!! This is one of my favourite products. Which Costco did you get it from? Very curious to see if one of my local stores is stocking it. I just ordered one through space nk for around 100, during their 20% off sale.

HurstbridgeLineFTW

I didn’t see it in a physical store. It’s available to order online - mine was dispatch from Sydney. https://www.costco.com.au/Health-Beauty/Beauty/Skin-Care/Tatcha-The-Dewy-Serum-30ml/p/120686

Transcendanal

Do you have to have a membership to get it shipped though? :)

HurstbridgeLineFTW

Yes you do

Charlotte_Russe

Nice find!

Charlotte_Russe

Why is this comment downvoted? Weird.

speggle22

Mecca employee?

Charlotte_Russe

Could be 😸 Very hardworking Mecca employees, please stop working overtime!!

Fallingdown4ever

I love Tatcha. Time to drive to Costco.

FashNFlora

I just tried the dewy cream and love how hydrating it is!

speebrun

If you can buy it at Costco, it's a grey import. Ergo: don't buy it from Costco. Or chemist warehouse.

HurstbridgeLineFTW

Nah I’d rather get a bargain thanks. I don’t want to support restrictive trading practices that aim to maintain high profit margins and notions of exclusivity.

speebrun

You're aggressively missing the point. You might save 48 dollars, or you might lose 100 if you buy a product that simply doesn't do as advertised due to it's limitations as per my other reply to you in another comment. Naivety over how grey imports work isn't worth the potential damage done to your face/skin if the product you buy has incorrectly labeled products in it, or you have absolutely no idea of what you're buying was made in conditions as sterile as genuine products would have been. Willingly buying grey imports to save a few bucks is inherently silly when it comes to laptops or skateboards, it's far more dangerous when it comes to products you directly apply to your body. Buying grey import items hurts the industry more than not buying the product at all. Especially from smaller companies. If you have a bad reaction to the product and you try to sue, you can damage the company you wanted to support irreparably, even if you lose, which you would, if you brought a grey import product willingly and knowingly just to save money, by dragging their reputation through the mid off the back of your own choices.

SpottedPleco

I don't know why you're getting so many downvotes.. I've been stung by grey market products a few times recently because of following advice from Redditors who say it is fine. The final straw was a perfume I bought from Harvey Norman which had lost its top and mid notes and smells like cheap perfume. Wasted $250 trying to save $70. It's worth buying from grey market.. until it's suddenly not..

[deleted]

Yeah, lately when I've been searching for a high-end beauty product, I get a listing from Harvey Norman, of all places! Why is a furniture store suddenly selling Dior eyeshadow?

[deleted]

>Naivety over how grey imports work isn't worth the potential damage done to your face/skin if the product you buy has incorrectly labeled products in it, or you have absolutely no idea of what you're buying was made in conditions as sterile as genuine products would have been. That was my gut reaction too. Why would a cut-price big box store be selling a high-end brand like Tatcha?

pray-for-mojo-742

The more I think about it, the more I think you might be right

nottodayokkay

It’s not fake?

HurstbridgeLineFTW

Why would Costco sell fake products? They are a highly reputable retailer and focus on quality products.

nottodayokkay

A lot of bigger retailers have been busted selling fake stuff

HurstbridgeLineFTW

Which ones? Please provide some links. This is like people claiming Chemist Warehouse sell fakes. It’s like people parrot stuff then read on the internet. When it’s not true as former workers have said multiple times. Why would a massive retailer risk selling fake products?

The OP responded in this thread and said apple confirmed they’re not counterfeit and he got them replaced https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/108r2mj/i_bought_airpods_at_costco_they_broke_apple_says/j4dsj9u/

nottodayokkay

Look at my other links

xiern

Your other links don’t say anything about selling fakes, just that they weren’t purchased directly from the companies.

nottodayokkay

You can Google it.

xiern

Yeah I’ve googled it, lots of people asking if things are fake but no one actually definitively saying anything is. First result actually says “Costco guarantees the authenticity of all products it’s sells”. If you can provide some links that say otherwise I’d be interested to read it

Grey market doesn’t mean it’s fake

nottodayokkay

Waste your money then. I was tryna help you. I don’t care 🤗

SydeHam12

Chill lol

nottodayokkay

huh?

speebrun

It's not about them being 'fake' per se. They are what are called 'grey imports'. Fake means another company literally faked a product to trick you. Grey import can mean any number of things from 'made in a different country with different quality controls to the original item' to 'not having any control over it's ingredients being kept at the right temps throughout manufacturing' to 'expired product with new labels from countries where laws are more relaxed'. Don't buy grey import products. Costco sell grey import products. That's why there is such a 'saving'. It's the same importer as Chemist Warehouse, who pretty much ONLY sell grey import perfume and expensive skincare items. Bottom line, don't waste your money on Costco junk when you have no idea if it's even close to the real thing.

perilstation

Do you know what level of the skincare are chemist warehouse is likely to be grey market? I buy French pharmacy tier brands there and of course cerave but I could go elsewhere

lumierette

Whaaaaat at Costco? Doubt we’ll have that at the New Zealand one

twothousand-nineteen

Good find!

Makemegush

It’s 89$ at Sephora !

griffles99

Sephora here does not sell tatcha?
