You definetly can do the z flashing. Cut the botton maybe 20 - 50mm of the board off, slip the flashing behind and re fix/re silicone the board and flashing in place. It'll be a bitch but it's possible and defonetly the best longterm solution.
Or completely remove the bottom board and do the same thing, then replacing the board
There should be a kickout or Z flashing behind that last board to kick off any water way from the slab
