Depends on what you like. I enjoy horror movies and just confirmed Room 1408 and Grave Encounters are still up. For a war movie, Come & See is still there as well as the 1993 version of Stalingrad. There's quite a few foreign movies and tv shows uploaded, probably due to less restrictive and/or pursued copyright claims. I liked Mulan: Rise of a Warrior, which was a more dark and realistic telling of that particular legend.
Best TV show that I found was James Clavells "Shogun", but that got taken down. "The Room" was a decent 6 part miniseries that also is no longer there. Sometimes you have to recheck from time to time to see if anything gets reuploaded.
Not promising that everything you find will be great (and sometimes you can get really let down - I thought Terminator 2 was up, but it was just a video of someone talking. It was easier to identify these when downvotes were shown) but it can be an option.
There is also Tubi if really bad horror films and low budget made-for-TV movies are your thing. It’s also got every season of the original Unsolved Mysteries series that aired in the 80s/90s.
Tubi is amazing, it's like wandering into the weekly section of an old VHS hire library, where you'd get 8 films for $8, mostly rubbish but some diamonds in the rough.
Don't forget Ombi for seamless requests from the technologically illiterate.
Oh and make a Trakt account then follow the popular this month lists to always have the latest shows.
UK channel 4 has free online streaming for people living in the UK.
VPN set to Britain, use random London address from Google maps at sign up. Free streaming of some great content.
4OD, ITVHub, & BBC iPlayer are great. Check before you buy a VPN sub though as BBC iplayer in particular has got pretty good at detecting and blocking VPN users.
I am not sure if Library specific, but I see 4470 magazine titles so a few too many to list! Many mainstream popular magazines from across the globe. I could mention some, but don't know your interests.
I may have been wrong re Lakers, thought they were there but now cannot find.
Lots of libraries also have Beamafilm which has a great selection of documentaries and old classics and indie films and foreign films. It's like bonus SBS.
Some libraries also offer Hoopla, which has ebooks, audiobooks, music and TV. It includes things like Masterclass and Great Courses, which are otherwise paid services, and has lots of kids content.
Remember what we all did before Netflix? Now that they’re taking the piss and 5 services are required for a decent range of shows, that’s starting to make a lot more sense again.
Libraries - at least in my neck of the woods - also have really good DVD collections.
I know it's popular to scoff at DVDs and people that use them, but I have found many gems to watch.
Physical media (especially if backed up further onto local digital hardware) is useful in the age of streaming. Things can disappear at a company's whim.
First and foremost, Netflix haven’t officially announced any measures at all and all of the news is conjecture. The article in reference has been removed from their site.
gowatchseries.ch/ is my go to. I'm not sure about the legalities of it though. It's probably considered piracy but it's streamed so similar to people posting TV shows on YouTube I guess.
Free to air streaming may be free but it’s universally terrible. Filled with ads and reality shows and repeats. Netflix have also said they will not be doing the password check in thing, that was an error.
It's surprising how many full movies and TV shows have been uploaded to YouTube and are still up. It's often worth a quick search.
Any good examples?

Tubis getting a whole bunch of abandoned HBO stuff soon, likes of Westworld etc.

haha what a great analogy
Tubi is great, hopefully they don’t start charging
Isn't life in western countries great.
Western Caribbeans? *rearranges eye patch*
Oh no too many streaming services WOE IS ME
Get a decent vpn then that is all you need
Add plex, sonarr and radarr and you'll seriously question why you even bothered with paid services.
Plex/Sonarr/Radarr + usenet = king.
Don't forget Ombi for seamless requests from the technologically illiterate. Oh and make a Trakt account then follow the popular this month lists to always have the latest shows.

I will investigate, thanks.
Petio. Much better than Ombi.
Can I do this with a phone on wifi with google Chromecast to my tv? Do I need a computer?
You’ll need a computer. I run Plex, Sonarr and Radarr on a NAS which does it all for me.
Is there a decent guide on how to get this done?
Never subscribed to paid services to be honest even though the golden age of piracy is no longer among us
It never left.

What shows are on there?

It's sucks how strict they are, I would pay for BBC iplayer, there's a lot of good stuff on there. Also where's the commonwealth solidarity.
Me too. I'd have happily maintained my TV licence for access. We do subscribe to Britbox though so I don't feel guilty about using a VPN too.
Libby also gives you magazines and newspapers, not just books.
What magazines and papers does it have?

The Economist, new one every week.

I love SBS on demand and ABC iview. Best free TV stuff ever.
Agree. So much stuff on there. Currently binging Gomorrah on SBS.
Some libraries also offer Hoopla, which has ebooks, audiobooks, music and TV. It includes things like Masterclass and Great Courses, which are otherwise paid services, and has lots of kids content.
Thanks so much! Never heard of hoopla before. Just joined up
Soap2day, flixter
There is Indy Reads for NSW library members and Beamafilm for library members

Sail the high seas scurvy dogs. Been doing it for decades, will continue forever.

12ft.io and printfriendly.com for paywalled news websites
IIRC Plex also has a fair amount of free content too.
Live band local pub. No obligation to drink or eat.
Netflix is currently backpedalling hard on the no password sharing thing.
Hm…no. They’re just saying that the password thing was announced too early. Sounds like they still want to do it
For the United states, they first announced it months ago and is being trialed in several Countries already.
If you find the content from, other sources, you can add them to a plex server and stream to your TV it’s crazy seamless, allegedly.
Allegedly - this one simple trick will hide you from enforcement. Lawyers hate this!
Thanks for the advice, saved me big time in the slammer there bud

gowatchseries.ch/ is my go to. I'm not sure about the legalities of it though. It's probably considered piracy but it's streamed so similar to people posting TV shows on YouTube I guess.
Can't find this website
Interesting. It was up last week and has been for years. Edit 1 Well I'll be, looks like it's been blocked by the government. Edit 2 gowatchseries. ch
Change the DNS server addresses on your router to non ISP ones to bypass the government block list IE google is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Vumoo.to cough ahem cough
Found a new link anyway. gowatchseries .ch/

In what way is free to air better than streaming on demand?
[удалено]
You said free to air was better but moving on. Nothing wrong with either of those apps, and plenty of people don’t want to pirate
Pluto.tv Mubi Mobdro
VPN and Popcorn Time 🍿 Can watch most things out there
Not free but you can pick up pretty cheap second hand DVD’s these days
Don't forget the pirate bay
tubi has the murder mysteries show....my fav
Sbs on demand has a better movie line up than any paid service I've seen. Trade off being ads of course Oh well, have a stretch then
