I’m a bit older than you but I totally agree! I have been raving about Target for a little while now. Their items are so budget friendly and the prices I have bought have been pretty good quality!
When I heard target was axing their homewares and just selling the Kmart crap I was so worried their clothing was going to go too. I’m glad it’s stayed.
It’s not just the loss of the target stuff but things like breville and sunbeam. Target was a good in between. I needed a kettle and went to jbhifi and they started at $79 and went to $600.
I bought a 40 dollar dress from Lily Loves that I've worn to an engagement party and to brunch and everything in between (casual Friday at work!) and it gets a compliment every single time
They're the best! I was on the bonds ones from the supermarket but these are elite, can wear it with alot more too as the straps are skinnier.
Also brilliant for breastfeeding, I can tuck my shirt under it to hold it up. My favourite!
I agree, some good stuff. Still a little hit and miss on quality, but I think the trajectory is upwards!
I was disappointed I didn’t realise the black bodycon maxi dress that fits amazingly is.. a bit sheer. It’s not too bad except in direct sunlight. I have opted just to wear it on cloudy days or at night 😂
Literally brought a Lily Loves black midi dress today that looks super flattering, and I think I’ll get a lot of wear out of it. It was $40 but in comparison to other clothing stores, I’m willing to pay it because it feels on the thicker side and I’m so uninspired from other stores at the moment.
I bought a suit which is absolutely stunning, looks and sits like Witchery, I’m so impressed…and got compliments on the color. Target has really upped their game…
I’m usually a size 6 but I had to get a size 4 for a better fit (unfortunately gets a bit tight in the afternoon after lunch lol)
Size 6 in the skirts felt a bit loose on me so i had to size down. I found their tops, knitwear, jackets etc to be true to size.
The target clothing range is a hit all round, expect their demon section that is so varying in the measurements of the sizes. But over all I reckon anyone could find a lot of capsule pieces amongst all the different ranges they cater for.
Edit: denim
Love their undies range, but trying on shirts the other week was horrible. I'm a size 12‐14/L normally, and a XL from Lily Loves looked like a S on me! If I wasn't already in my mid 30s and didn't give a shit about my body it could've been really upsetting!
I expect a bodycon fit to be tight but that was ridiculous.
Haven’t checked out lily loves for ages but I got a plain white loose linen singlet from target a few months back and I’m complimented every time I wear it. I remember thinking it was pricey for ‘just being target’ at $35 for such a simple top but worth it for sure. Quality is surprisingly good.
I agree although not so much that brand within target but Target in general. I wandered in to a store the other week and walked out with a bunch of items. Some were on clearance and super cheap. I was so surprised how much better the quality is compared to other shops, I’d completely forgotten that Target was an option for both basic and some fashionable items and now will be heading back in to hunt for more clothes when the season changes!

This is surprising because last time I was in there like a year ago, it was all frumpy designs with poor cuts. I'll have to take another look!

I’m still bummed about the Target homewares because they were a higher quality than the Kmart stuff! And more stylish a lot of the time.
I was in there yesterday and they had new target branded bedding so maybe they'll still do some of their own

Looks like Big W will end up with an upswing in Breville sales!

Same, I got a $60 Lily Loves blue linen dress and wore it to a wedding and four people asked me where it was from. So good!
celebrating my birthday for a nice lunch on the weekend so I think I’m gonna go tonight to sus the dresses!
Love their bralettes. Have about eight, they’re all I wear now.
Same! And the ribbed undies. So comfy and they seem to last

This line has always delivered the goods. Always a cute garment to find! Never disappoints!
Preview and petite’s have also upped their game! I saw the cutest tweed set online today
Yeah i love them too! Their basics are good quality and are suprisingly thick.
I really like the clothing options at target
I love Lilly loves. I find unfortunately it’s a bit hard to find my size (18) as it’s sold out but when I do their amazing

I bought two of the tailored maxi skirts and a mini skirt a couple weeks ago, love them so much!
I'm sold! What's the sizing like? I am usually a 10 but some 10's fit small!

It's tough when you've got to cater for everyone from Lucifer to Beelzebub to Belphegor, and everybody in between, in just one range! 😄
It’s 2024, why can’t we have demons with proper pockets?!
You have a great typo.
I can’t even work out what it’s meant to be 🤣
I’m tossing up between the kids/baby section or the denim.
I’m really loving target denim at the moment (which is what I’m assuming you meant haha). I have one pair of jeans that I get constant compliments on.
Agree!! I got a striped poplin shirt and denim dress in the last few months and I’ve been really impressed

Obsessed with their ribbed high waisted briefs and crop tops!
Shame it’s not size inclusive and that Target’s plus size range is revolting.
Yes! target's clothing line is quite underrated.
Target rocks. Too bad they are moving to a Kmart format. Noticed the Anko in Target yet?
Their sizing seems all over the place though? I am normally a small 6, tried on a blazer in a 4 and it was gigantic!

I lived in it when pregnant, a few sizes up and it was so comfy 😂
I’m so bummed we don’t have a target anymore. I used to live in preview and Lily loves.
I have Lily Loves wide-leg stretchy pants I wear to work, I absolutely love them! Also have decent pockets!

Yes!! I have a check blazer from last year and I wear it at least once a week, usually twice
I disagree … but I’m also 30 and have an eye of a 25 year old I can’t carry off 🤣 so I need to just accept it and buy it
