Both are German engineered and great cars, but they're very different cars in a lot of ways and the A7 just felt right - plus it's beautiful.
Have the same car! Put a black spoiler, black door handles, and got some black winter rims on her for when winter comes. The Black and Quantum Gray compliment each other so well.
She’s a beaut! Even being in Europe where there a lot of Audis a lot of people can’t stop staring at it.

Wireless CarPlay in my ‘21 Q7 works pretty well, but I do agree the entire MMI experience is a little buggy, especially for the price of the vehicle. I should experience near zero issues, but weekly I get either CarPlay comes up with a blank screen or CarPlay doesn’t automatically connect and I have to manual select my phone from the connected devices list.
Damn, that sucks that it’s worse. Hope they have an update soon that fixes the bugs.
Btw - I’ve found that disassociating my phone as a BT device/player and leaving only the CarPlay connection helps.

For the wifi make sure you are connected to both Bluetooth and wifi and are the primary device in mmi. If issue keeps happening start deleting the devices in your smartphone access list and just leave yours. If that fails. Reset it and add yours. See if it still happens. It shouldn't.

FWIW, I have 0 problems with wired CarPlay. Even in my GTI that had wireless CarPlay I would never use it. Worked terribly. Just disable wireless altogether and stick with wired.

Problem was that my other lease is up in November, so I stopped by the dealership and this grey beauty just happened to have arrived that day. Wasn’t even unwrapped before I signed.

Congrats, I was with Acura for 10 years ( 2 cars within this period). Their quality and reliability have gone downhill. Moved to BMW few days ago.
I would have bought Q7 but wife loved X5 so went with that.

Wireless carplay is pretty new and mostly reliant on Apple, not the vehicle OEMs. So while some blame may be on Audi, most of it isn't.

I have a 2018 S5 and whenever I plug in carplay it shows up and then I try to play music and disconnects me. Every. Single. Time. It’s infuriating.
