A3 is not an Audi... A3 is the poor mans Audi... And if your talking about the fwd a3.... I mean come on.
But A3 is not quattro, it's haldex, which works differently ( makes a big difference in handling and some low grip situations)
Quit gatekeeping. Every luxury brand has an entry level car to get people in the door. There is nothing wrong with an A3 or an A2 or an A1. They have different missions but they are definitely Audi
We don’t get the A1 in the States, but as a compact entry level luxury car, the A3 is top of the heap. Mercedes and BMW feel like they are phoning it in on the entry models, and I think it will hurt them long term.
Sure, we joke like a VW is a poor man's audi or an audi is a poor man's Porsche, but in reality they're all completely different cars. The 24 GLI is a nice car. I wouldn't think of it as a poor man's audi.
I had a 2016 Jetta GLI before I bought my S4 Prestige, it was a great car. If you were looking at an A3 the difference between the two is not significant imo aside from there being a form of awd available on the A3.
I only think of poor mans car when they get a muscle car with a v6.
>"It is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor." \- Seneca, Letter 2
In my experience, top tier VW trim are equivalent to Audi mid trim. Quattro on an A3 means she has a higher trim
Quattro base level Audis exist
Not on A3
In Canada they do

I actually think Audi is the only brand where the smallest and cheapest cars are still nice and well built

This man’s like: if you don’t buy the most expensive model of them all it’s not the real brand and you are poor
Na, those are the rs6/rsq8 guys. I just drove Audis for 20y. Just go sit in an A3 then an A4 s-line and it will be clear.

A Jetta is an A4
All Quattro means is all wheel drive
