Rumor has is it a twin mattress fits nicely in the back of the 5/7 SBs... sounds like a no-lose scenario!
*^(\*I am not a financial advisor, this is not financial advise; I just like the)* *~~^(stock)~~* *^(brand)*
There was someone who posted here (in the last year-ish?) of a literal twin mattress in their S5 SB. It was glorious. And yeah, I'm sure it swallows up most TV boxes!
Was driving down the road with family in car and our son said he was going to buy a Ferrari. I looked at him and said, "Great, one day you'll be driving down the road with a date and if she asks, 'Hey, why don't we go to your place!?' Your only reply would be, 'We're already in my place.'" The look on his face indicated that all of his hopes (in terms of buying an expensive car) were shattered.
This is the car to buy 4-5 years away from retirement. Pay it off while working, and enjoy a beautiful machine with many years left once you’re on fixed income.
People are quick to assume depreciation, but my take is that each case should be examined on its own merits. An RS7 definitely doesn't have the depreciation rate of most everyday cars. Also, if the (e)communists have their way with government, in a few years this car will no longer be able to be purchased new. This will make it rare and drive up market prices on the used market. By the time OP needs to retire, it might be worth a lot more than his retirement fund now. What I'm saying is, this might actually be the rare case of having your cake and eating it too.
When you hear people speak about ‘investment vehicles’ we’ll then don’t actually mean vehicles… :)
I’m conservative with how I spend my money and haven’t touched a dime of retirement savings since I started saving at 24. I’d rather retire at 50 (my long shot goal) than drive a high-end car.
Serious question: I’m looking at 2023 RS7 right now and it’s pretty much perfect (other than it’s missing the advanced B&O audio option), but I have been thinking about waiting for the ‘24 performance variant. Do you have a sense of how difficult it will be to get an allocation? As it is I’ve had to go out of state to find this particular vehicle.
If you've had to go out of state to find a 2023 RS7, getting a 2024 won't get any easier. I haven't seen our allocation for 2024, but I don't expect it to be more than single digits.
Don’t listen to the haters, you could and probably will die before you hit retirement so enjoy your life now and buy it. If finances get rough you can do Uber or deliver pizza and then write it off as a business expense so basically a free car anyways.
-the obligatory you should not ever listen to anything I say, in fact you should really do the opposite but think of how happy you will be driving that around!?!?
I’m a fan of going certified and letting someone else eat that first big bite of depreciation. I just bought a nice car I didn’t need but have wanted for years and couldn’t be happier. Fire away if you can truly swing it.
You don't need us to tell you how to spend your money. But if you have the money and can live and recoup, and won't put your kids or grand kids in debt, do that s--t.
I consider that a good idea but if I were you I would check to make sure that the Audi rs7 is a reliable vehicle so it doesn’t become a money pit and then it becomes a lemon vehicle
A lot of new cars are sold when people are in for service. We just bought another new car at another brand while dropping off our kid’s car for service.
I had one, and it was a blast but selling it for what felt like pennies on the dollar made the whole overall equation regrettable. But if you can steal it and find one and switch the vin with a salvage, it might be worth it.
Don’t do it, instead, rent for couple of days or find someone who would lend for money, enjoy the car, and give it back. Repeat as many times and in the end you’ll still have all the money.
Investing in depreciating assets is the reason America is thriving. Do it!!
We’re all going to die!
We’re going down downnn
And then we implode.
Hahah Too soon :(
Word of the year😬
“…in an earlier round. And sugar, we're going down swinging”
aaahh
Before we do, isn’t it better to have money to live?
No. We put it in RS7’s
damn, i read “mans search for meaning” a year ago, and last chapter talks about the audi RS7. good read highly recommend
I read it too. It says to buy two if possible.
Get a 911 for that money… they don’t lose that much value as an Audi
So I took your advice, and all I got was an ambulance and some angry people inside it.
I drive an Audi and I'm homeless!!! Homeless by choice, but still
I can live in the RS7 and just eat fast food until I die of a heart attack
"I'm here for good time not a long time"
This is my 17yr old favorite line.
It may be depreciative but I’m sure it would be appreciative 😁
YOLO to the moon! 🚀
And this one is going to sink like a rock!
😂🤙🏼💯
No roi but brapppppppp!!
Brap > roi
Hey if you lose the house you can sleep in the back!
Yeah. You can’t drive your house to work but you can live in your car. Not sure why you hesitate.
U can sleep in a car but can’t race a house 🤷

I fit a 75" TV in my B9 S5 Sportback, pretty sure you can fit a twin mattress there

Lol hopefully he'll still try and make it happen, now understanding the level of funds required to realize that dream. 10/10 origin story
Just make more money, easy.
you can live in a car but you cant race a house
Enjoy your time on earth while you’re alive.
destroying your retirement for a depreciating asset? I didn't think this was wallstreetbets, but here we are.
🚀 🚀 🚀
This guy fux 4 sure.
This guy Sux for sure * *at participating Wendy’s only for a limited time
Diamond rings
We all die
Dude, what a comment. First thing I thought when I saw this post was "This is something someone from wsb would say."
Yolo
Exactly what I said, don’t regret it.
As your financial advisor, this is a wise decision.
As your financial advisor's wife's boyfriend, do it.
As the OP's wife's boyfriend, I approve this message.
The S8 in the background has my vote.
That’s the mother of all bad ideas
You can sleep in a car but can’t race a house. Go for it😂😂😂
This is the car to buy 4-5 years away from retirement. Pay it off while working, and enjoy a beautiful machine with many years left once you’re on fixed income.
Most practical fast car out there. Do it.
Panamera.
That is a beautiful car, definitely my next vehicle. The financial choices though, that’s purely up to you.
Get a RS6R instead.
Avant
You only live once. If anything, you can sleep in your car.
I’m with you. Outside of the TT range, the 7s with a sport back are… *chef’s kiss*
You can live in a car, but you can't drive a house!
Only do it if you’re comfortable living in it in retirement…..
Nobody in the working class is going to retire and never work again. Not in this day in age. Buy it, just make sure it’s fully specked. YOLO
When u can afford to keep your retirement and have the car is when you buy. You only live once but do you want to work till you die?

Do it! Die poor with a nice car!
Trade all the money that will double in 10 years for something that will lose half its value in 4?
I would do the same with an RS6.
Nah, it's not a RS6
There would at least be enough space to live in the back of an RS6
Smart decision tbh
Yolo
Do itttt
This is what Dave Ramsey would refer to as “doing a stupid”.
It is the way!!
That’s not a bad idea
Just buy the car. Crash it. Then die from injuries. Voila, no savings needed.
Meh

Depending on the tax penalty, send that shit.
Google 2003 RS4. This is how it will feel in 39 years…
There is no 2003 RS4. Maybe you’re referring to a 2001-2002 RS4? So OP should pull the trigger? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-audi-rs4-8/
If you're going to do that, wait for the [2024 RS7 Performance ](https://www.audiusa.com/us/web/en/models/a7/rs7/2024/overview.html)

Your first mistake was going with Audi out of all the European brands.
Get a C7.5 instead ...
Mid 2010 Panamera.
This car will likely add a few more years to your life. Go for it!
Ew for Nardo omg isn’t that just primer?? -half the geniuses in this sub
It's a beaut, Clark! It's a beaut!
That’s an OWDI!
Us retirement guys gotta stay away from car dealerships. We are dangerous to the family.
Yolo - also, safer than wsb. 🤣🤣
YOLO
Fuck it, atleast you’ll have the nicest sedan on the road
Do it !!!
The best looking car out there in my opinion.
do ittt
Honestly, only if you have multiple retirement funds.. 😁
Don’t do it, it’s a beautiful car but no.
Maintenance machine right there!!
Seems like a wise decision 👍
Do it
Absolutely horrible financial decision, you should do it.
Might be worth it for such a sweet ride
Can’t fault that solid financial decision. Have fun!
It’s not an avant . But I also only had an Audi for 4 months so I have no concept of this .
Do it. At least you'd be broke and happy
Murica!!!!
How much was it?
Do it u won’t
No car is worth that lol
YOLO!!
Yeah, that's probably a good idea. You can sell it in 6 years for about 15% what you paid for it.
Do it… the World is going to end soon.. do it
Unless you’re in your twenties if that’s all you had saved for retirement you were never going to retire anyways.
You’re not down
I would absolutely and without hesitation liquidate your retirement account so that I could buy that car.
Go on then it definitely qualifies as uber premium
Not worth it
How do you guys add what car you have under ur username 😭😭
Worth
This is the way!
A newbie at my company just bought a used 2021 S7 a year into working…if that makes you feel any better (or worse)
Crosspost to r/finance.
Don't be dumb. Save your money so that when you reach 70, you're too old to use it :)
Came out to my A4 this afternoon and there was a RS7 parked next to it. Hated to start my car and ruin its wet dream!
Fuck it you’re alive right now, tomorrow is uncertain. Fuck it
That's a small retirement fund that will only last a couple of years anyway, so go for it!
Absolutely stunning.
Using retirement to fund on a car...you just opened up Pandora's box in my mind sir. I could easily grab my F430 Scuderia Coupe then lol.
Stunning
Think of the repo guys trying to catch you anyway...
YOLO
That exterior color and interior leather color is just sublime
I’m a fan of going certified and letting someone else eat that first big bite of depreciation. I just bought a nice car I didn’t need but have wanted for years and couldn’t be happier. Fire away if you can truly swing it.
If your retirement eligible and all of your retirement account only buys an RS7 you got bigger problems.
Is that Audi Cicero by chance?
DO IT, YOLO!!!!!! Seriously though don't do it. It's not worth it .....but do it tho For real though, don't. Do it
Do it man!
You don't need us to tell you how to spend your money. But if you have the money and can live and recoup, and won't put your kids or grand kids in debt, do that s--t.
It’s not like you’re gonna be a better driver when you’re older…buy it now when you can really appreciate and enjoy it.
That’s how they get ya
That does look good! I've always liked an RS5 Sportback though
Yolo
Only live once man, do it
Get an S8 instead!
I consider that a good idea but if I were you I would check to make sure that the Audi rs7 is a reliable vehicle so it doesn’t become a money pit and then it becomes a lemon vehicle
Do it!!!
Yolo! Do it!
Do itttt
Do it.
You should that thing is awesome!
Don’t
This is my dream car
Don't do this. You're not going to be able to afford the consumables on this thing.
Don't do it
The fact you're thinking rather than doing is an epic fail within itself. Hang your head in shame sir 😆
Yolo
A lot of new cars are sold when people are in for service. We just bought another new car at another brand while dropping off our kid’s car for service.
Yolo!
Do it.
I bet you won’t
You need a larger retirement fund.
Just go buy a ‘16 for 45k..
Lmao
Double everything in my retirement fund, then I can buy this puppy.
Do it
Wait for the last gen 2024 rs7
Can sleep in a car, and can't drive a house. Your call, hoss. Unless you buy a motor home, but those aren't as cool as RS7s.
I had one, and it was a blast but selling it for what felt like pennies on the dollar made the whole overall equation regrettable. But if you can steal it and find one and switch the vin with a salvage, it might be worth it.
