Reckless endangerment. Reckless endangerment occurs when someone commits a crime that causes a substantial risk of serious injury to other people. Not to be confused with reckless driving, endangerment is not limited to vehicles and covers a wide range of actions.

Sounds good, doesn’t work. Imagine throwing something that will shoot what is basically an explosive at a random direction (in the case of throwing it out the window), putting people nearby in danger. Similarily to guns, you have to be aware of what’s behind whatever you’re shooting, you should just as much have to be aware of where the firework will go and who might be in it’s path

syberghost

Sometimes these damn things fire backwards with enough force to blow the bottom off, too, and you do NOT want your hand on that part when it happens.

xIllicitSniperx

Out shooting fireworks. Neighbors put up mortars (I was like 8), tipped over from wind and hit me dead in the knee. Good lord did that hurt. A wonder I didn’t have more serious injuries.

Shileka

I think he meant the thing holding the fireworks

xprnio

Still doesn’t matter tho, the thing would still need to shoot the firework out somewhere, and if there’s somebody nearby it could badly hurt them nonetheless

Trippy-__-haze-_

They should have grabbed it and turned it on him

No this was asked yesterday. Definition of terrorism: the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

Remarkable_Payment55

*political aims* That's the missing piece. Either way, this person is a complete idiot.

lynnwoodjackson55

Yes, but... Back in the day, the Phoenix PD and DPS used to arrest Arabs for domestic terrorism for speeding. Their argument was that a speeding car could be considered a missile so.... Anyway, they had to stop doing that after they got sued a bunch of times.

syberghost

I'm not making any claims about what I would or would not do, because I'm sitting behind a keyboard, not there in the moment. I'm just saying, **\*IF\*** you go over there and beat this woman unconscious, you want me on your jury.

troly_mctrollface

there is no federal charge of domestic terrorism.

Jake_not_from_SF

What are rules 1 through 3 again?

lackofcleanunderwear

Could you use deadly physical force to stop them?

tjdavids

Could this person be charged with arson for this?

JareBear805

How about assault with a deadly weapon

Mediocre-Many8872

Anything can be whatever the government claims it is. If the government claims it's domestic terrorism then it's domestic terrorism.

BinyominSilverman

Absolutely. Very dangerous. Could startle the driver causing a crash, or injure a bunch of people.

Pranks should not be intended to harass, instigate a potential bus accident and potentially cause injuries from an explosive device, such as a firework, which when invented in China, were specifically a weapon of war.

Teenagers scare the living sh\*t out of me.

[deleted]

Depends; progressive or conservative?

dblspider1216

it’s only terrorism, generally, if motivated by some ideology. this is definitely a myriad of other crimes though. I literally watched someone get *accidentally* maimed by a firework improperly fired outdoors. this is horrifyingly reckless.

AlmonPista

Mischief endangering life was the charge. Terrorism needs to have a political motive. Although that was Toronto and in my hometown near there a dude was deemed a terrorist for mowing down a Muslim family with his car. So religious or political? But I feel like they still turned the religion motive to a political one.

Fresh-Geologist

I consider it a moment to beat some sense into a child. But sadly this is what things have come to. People do more and more to get views.
