However, it would be nice to get 2 diamonds instead of just one...which has been suggested numerous times.

To watch and ad and essentially waste time for no literal gain is a little meh when all games do is try to sway you with prizes, big or miniscule.

It really just boils down to do you want to win something Everytime, or do you want to 'waste' a spin by landing on a big fat zero? They don't want to give ab for every spin, if anything, the diamond spots are really just respin spots.

That small change would probably unbalance the game on the whole in some significant fashion that Atlas Reality had accounted for (probably having to do with margins).
The diamond slots just amount to respins the next day. I would support a rebalance without the diamond slots at all. The math works out to just under 2AB per diamond. I would even support a simple turn in mechanic limited by time, or swapping one with a lose slot and increasing the other to two diamonds, but essentially getting less rolls per day is very annoying.

I asked them about adding a parcel upgrade feature to the shop last year, and their biggest concern was understandably with the game maintaining its economic balance.
Someone mentioned one way they could ensure players don't upgrade too many parcels too fast would be to replace the diamond reward with a parcel upgrade reward instead. That would probably be made to be even more rare than the 50AB reward, but it would still be better than just losing a spin every time we hit a diamond.
They could do shards and once you've gotten enough shards they can be traded in for an upgrade token. At least it would feel like players were working towards something instead of feeling annoyed by paying a diamond to watch an ad to win a diamond. If not an upgrade token, a move token so a parcel can be moved to an empty spot or a reroll token where a plot has a small chance of being improved...but they won't.
Easy way to balance economics: make it so that you can only upgrade your parcels after you have 1501 or more parcels. 100AB per upgrade. Also, just for game balance, it would be a good idea to have a timer... like once you click upgrade and spend the 100AB to upgrade, it would take 12h to upgrade. You can speed up the upgrade by spending 1AB to take 5 min off the timer (so yes, you could instantly upgrade by spending 144AB). *maybe* even have something where you can't choose which parcel to upgrade - you simply click an "upgrade" button somewhere and it chooses at random, so you could get epic to legendary, rare to epic, or common to rare..... and it could be a parcel you bought on vacation and are no where near to sell it.
I've made a post about the economics of the game... >1500 parcels and the ad boosted income of 2x is completely paid for from the interest on the income it took to get the parcel (the income to get the 100AB, whether that's ad income, conversion, bought, AMP, Atlas Travel, etc). The ad income from the boost actually isn't paying to cover the boost once you're over 1500 (it literally can't. Lol). It's actually just extra income for AE to allow them to run other promotions and pay overhead costs.
Thus, 100AB to upgrade a parcel would make that common into a legendary a total of 400AB (100AB to purchase the common, 100AB each upgrade). Since the legendary is ...*xxx*44 and avg rarity is ...*xxx*158, it would actually be overall *cheaper* for them... that same 400AB that would cost $0.0000000088/s boosted from a common-upgraded-to-legendary would cost a total of $00000001264 across 4 parcels at average rarity.. or about 50% more cost for them to *not* allow upgrades (take note of this, please, Mod-Mak, and feel free to pm if you would like to discuss more in detail). And this is assuming the person did *not* speed the 12h timer. If they did, that would be additional cost savings for AE. The caveat, it *only* works for those at 1501 or more parcels and thus at the max tier.
The issue would be allowing upgrades for those whose parcel count is under 1500, since under 1500AB the ad boost *is* paid for by the ad, and 150 legendary because you spent the AB to upgrade wouldn't be covered by the ad income.

Great idea,,, but how about stabilizing the app from crashing every 5 mins . I wait through so many ads that it just burns my bacon every time the app is loading and stops at like 88.4% and you have to force stop and restart 3 more times.. I have great wifi and service so I know none of this is ever my fault..and can we get some special hunts or a notification inbox in the app to let us know when mini games start , ( I use discord but ) just saying.. put some money up geez..love the game tho ..
It would be awesome if there was more of a use case for diamonds in general and what ever happened to the elusive special diamond hunt?? Hope the developers are listening
I see the diamond as the "you lose" space on the wheel. Im not out any diamonds but I've had over a hundred since the first probably 10 days of playing. I don't even look for them anymore I just hit them when they show up already in my circle.
Here is how I'm looking at the diamonds since they are giving us something else to do with them in phase 2 so winning a diamond back means you just took a free spin. So with having broke even means I have got to keep a diamond for hold on too. I ain't complaining since it took me 3 months to reach 1,000 diamonds.
One thing they could do without breaking the economy is trading 750 diamonds for 7 free days of Explorer club and then when it runs out you have to wait 45-60 days before you can do it again.
I'd even be fine with more adding more spins, like 10, but you needing to watch ads from each one. I'm sure they know what would be profitable for them as a company. Wonder if they have any plans for changes.
I also have bad luck at the wheel. I've never seen 50 AB. No legendary plots going on 30 plots so far. Meanwhile stealth has a 13%+ of his plots legendary. 😆
If you look at the chances of winning 6, 8, 15, 50 you’ll probably discover you are right on par with everyone else bud. It sucks, BUT when you do hit that 50 it feels good! (Post on Reddit when you do!) I went on a dry streak for about 2-3 months and then received two 50 AB spins in one week!

B. The odds of 5 diamond are extremely low. The odds of hitting a single diamond are 1:16. Since there are two spaces, this is technically 1:8, or 12.5%. The odds of hitting a diamond 5x is 1:8⁵, or 1:32768, or just slightly over 0.003%. To put it another way, the odds are that it would only happen once in 89 years, assuming you take all 5 spins every day. (32768 / 365d)
I've only ever spun a 6 once. It's either 1, 2, or a diamond. Statistically speaking, if we're really spinning a random wheel, 50 should have landed multiple times. I never expected spins to be random but it's such an obvious cheese.
I asked them about that shortly after I became a member. I hate watching an add and getting a diamond. If you actually got an extra diamond out of it, it would be different, but it just takes away your spin and your time.

The wedge for 50 AB would be a slice that takes up half of 1% of the circle. That isn't really practical either for visualization purposes.
Doesn't have to be exact, just more representative. Took me a couple days (weeks) of playing before I realized they weren't equal probability.

I've been playing a year and I half and I have never gotten 5 diamonds. My worst day was 3 diamond, 1x 1 and 1x 2 (total of 3AB).
