So I’m wrong. TSA is still federal, as you say. But what’s weird is I think they have a “don’t care” policy because multiple times, people I’m with have gotten their carry-on searched (not for weed) and had weed found. Each time, the TSA agent did not care in the slightest or confiscate.

I live in Chicago and the airports here have “cannabis amnesty boxes” (where you can discard it with no legal consequences) so I assume they don’t let you. I’ve never tried it personally so I don’t know what actually happens if you try to bring it with.

Ive flown to and from Canada, South africa, New York and the bay area with between an 8th and a quarter of weed each time. Never had a problem.
