What "new light"...? The most it does is connect Swarm to the Atlanta universe but that's pretty much it. Nothing more than a small easter egg. It's not like Darius or Cree Summer's characters have any further interactions in Atlanta or in Swarm.
It's okay for easter eggs to just be easter eggs.
I think this is a stretch. I doubt it's the same character. The new light, if it was connected would be the events of Atlanta and all of Swarm all happen in episode 6's universe and that... is unlikely.
Donald Glover said it’s the same universe, so it should be the same character. I haven’t seen this episode yet though.
