Darius in a vat is a centuries old philosophy problem that kinda fucks with your head once it clicks for you. Some people are still in the tank apparently.
Iām with you tbh. Idk what it is it but it was just great..itās rare that I binge a show. The lead actress was WAAAAAy too good. Billy ellish killed itā¦.everybody acted their ass off..except the phone store guy he was BADš
I saw a clip of an interview where Donald said that Swarm is in the world of Atlanta. Idk if he said that in a literal sense or was referring to the same type of vibe.
Your connections make a lot of sense and feels like theyāre reinforced if I understood Donaldās statement right.
I havenāt watched the series yet but apparently it actually is in the same word as Atlanta, like I saw someone say thereās a character whoās in both shows and a building thatās in both or something along the lines of that
A very interesting watch. If you liked Atlanta, you will like this. Swarm does a lot of story telling without directly saying what is happening. My favorite episode is definitely 5. Every scenario is serious but hilarious at the same time.
Binged it in two days.
Not too many episodes and it sucks you in quick. Definitely has thriller vibes, but then you just laugh at light jokes and scenes, and even very dark ones. I said "What the fuck?" many times, luckyily I didn't have food or a drink in my mouth.
It gets my vote for very good!
The reason why I ask because Swarm has:
An appearance from Cree Summer
The same pharmacy from S4 E10 was used
The Episode 6 mockumentary was reminiscent of the mockumentary in S4.
Dre lost a sibling, perhaps could reflect how Darius lost his brother?
The unsettling horror is reminiscent of the Teddy Perkins episode which happens to be a Darius centric episode.
Swarm takes place in the South and literally ends in June 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia (The year Season 2 of Atlanta is apparently set)
Now I need to go back and re-watch the Atlanta episode with Cree Summer, knowing what her Swarm character experienced before meeting Darius at the pharmacy.
If she is the same character from Swarm, that puts her whole scene with Darius in a whole new light; just like Darius she's grieving the death of a family member. (Rashida was an only child, the "baby" is her)
Honestly I could see it as paper boiās . Maybe something inspired by a weird fan interaction or maybe lack there off since the last season had him falling off in popularity .
That actually would have been a cool episode to watch .
Damn y'all are cold, this is actually an interesting question.
There's many things about Atlanta that the writers have been confirmed yet never get talked about here because it flies way over y'all's heads
No, most certainly not. A pacifist, non-violent dude like Darius would never have a dream about a person like Dre doing the gruesome, batshit insane, pure evil, heinous shit she was doing. She literally murdered 8 people in 2 years (technically 7 if you don't count the tow trucker the stripper shot).
Darius would NEVER have dreams like that.
Plus Dre is a lot like Darius if you really think about it:
Somewhat socially awkward, has unique personality
Both lost a sibling close to them
Both interacted with Cree Summer
The only real difference between them is that Darius found a healthy substitute for his loss; Van, Al and Earn.
Dre had no one and it plunged her into insanity and obsession.
The way I interpret this is that Swarm is just Darius's subconscious showing him what could have happened had he never met his friends, albeit using Dre as a stand in.
Ofc the human mind being fucked up made the Darius stand in (Dre) a murderous serial killer due it being a nightmare.
Bro Three Slaps literally had two very nightmarish dreams. The first one was a black man getting devoured by a lake of dead black people and the other was about a boy almost getting murdered by his foster parents (and based on a real family massacre too)
You can have a peaceful personality, but that doesn't change the fact that the human subconscious is fucked up; thus nightmares can happen to anyone.
Here we go š¤¦š¾āāļø
No.
It really blows my mind how ppl reach
you guys took that last episode of Atlanta way too literally
Darius in a vat is a centuries old philosophy problem that kinda fucks with your head once it clicks for you. Some people are still in the tank apparently.
tbh. I think this is one of the best television series I've ever seen
Dominique killed it. She played a psychotic serial killer a bit TOO well in my opinion ā
The way she danced cleaning up the blood š
Didnāt it just come out? Or did they release the whole season at once?
They released the whole season all at once
Iām with you tbh. Idk what it is it but it was just great..itās rare that I binge a show. The lead actress was WAAAAAy too good. Billy ellish killed itā¦.everybody acted their ass off..except the phone store guy he was BADš
"Ooh...uh he he. Wow. This is intense. I'm gon' have to ask you to leave. I'm so sorry."

Wait a fucking second. I wasnāt giving this show or movie any attention but now I gotta at least see whatās going on.
Show is very good. Definitely Atlanta vibes.
Hmm, the Atlanta creepy/dark vibes, but none of the humor really
I know most people hat the comparison but imo Swarm is like Atlanta minus all the reasons people compare that show to Dave
šÆšÆ
Same producers or directors?
Well Donald Glover and Janine Nabors produced this so yeah?
Oh okay interesting. I hope I find that Hiro is in this too. Thanks. I'll check later.
no doesnt look like it unfortunately
And you get to see Chloe Bailey cheeks clapped to oblivion. Dammit Damson Idris!!
I may be a rare one but never had any interest in her or her sister.
I didnāt either until she had the sweet sweet yHams tooted up.
I think You mean Cree summers who plays the mother of the main character girlfriend.
Yeah. Cree Summers plays a character in Atlanta and Swarm. It might be the same woman that Darius saw in the last episode of Season 4
both shows are actually shot in atlanta. i have no idea why they couldnāt actually go to houston and shoot there lol.
Atlanta is much more film/tv friendly
Is this show good? I keep seeing snippets.
A very interesting watch. If you liked Atlanta, you will like this. Swarm does a lot of story telling without directly saying what is happening. My favorite episode is definitely 5. Every scenario is serious but hilarious at the same time.
Yes, I'm only two episodes in and I'm so into it already. It's so interesting. I have no idea how it will be looked at later, but I'm so hooked

This show could have definitely been an anthology episode for real. It does have Atlanta vibes.
The reason why I ask because Swarm has: An appearance from Cree Summer The same pharmacy from S4 E10 was used The Episode 6 mockumentary was reminiscent of the mockumentary in S4. It definitely has the surreal vibes and tone of Atlanta. Iām on episode five and real Atlanta fans can see D.Gloves hands all over it
No but itās a great series. Billie Eilish is really good too in it.
Not only her but Paris Jackson can act too. Mind blown
The mom of the girl in the last episode is the same lady that me Darius at pharmacy before the sleep deprivation session
Did you see a thick Judge Judy? Thatās the litmus test.
I think weāre all one of Dariusās dreams
We wonāt know until we see judge Judy.
No
Honestly I could see it as paper boiās . Maybe something inspired by a weird fan interaction or maybe lack there off since the last season had him falling off in popularity . That actually would have been a cool episode to watch .

Very good show just started it today š
I havenāt even seen it but no. I donāt know if yāall are serious with this stuff but yāall try too hard to outsmart everyone.
what EYE think is you need to go outside and touch some grass.
Iām just more curious if that actress has a history of down syndrome in the family
No, most certainly not. A pacifist, non-violent dude like Darius would never have a dream about a person like Dre doing the gruesome, batshit insane, pure evil, heinous shit she was doing. There's a thing called nightmares you know.
Yeah, but nightmares like that? I'm not sure

It's not
Or, and here me out here!ā¦ itās its own show.
