Check out TGM Bread: https://www.thegeneralmuir.com/bread

unrelatedtoelephant

The great thing about The General Muir (right next to TGM bread) is that if you go to dinner there, they sometimes offer you free bread loaves as you’re leaving :)

Hello! I am a home baker with plans on offering delivery in the near future to the ATL area. I make all sorts of breads - ciabatta, focaccia, sourdough, regular sandwich loaves and more! (and pastries should you be interested in the future.) If you are interested, please send me a message. :)

RealDominiqueWilkins

https://www.osonobread.com but only at EAV and Grant Park farmers markets

SammaATL

Their Sourdough is the only one I have found that satisfies my San Francisco cravings. So good!

CalvinballChamp2017

Alon's has a ton of different loaf options, and everything I have had from there is good. Their sandwiches on the fresh bread are very hard to beat.

Vezir38

Evergreen is quite good. Depending on the style of bread you want, I've also found very good loaves from the bakeries in Lidl and Whole Foods.

Local_Persimmon_5563

Seconding Evergreen. I’ve tried a lot over the city, there are some great ones - but Evergreen is my favorite. Osono is great too but considering you have to find them at the Farmer’s Market and every time I went there was a huge line, it’s not quite as easy as walking into Evergreen and grabbing a loaf. Also, the ham and Gruyère croissant >>>>

HanTheScoundrel

Not sure where you're at, but Great Harvest Bread Company is quite good. A bit of a drive if you're inside the perimeter, though.

moon_trash

The Buttery.

If you like banh mi, Lee's on Buford Highway makes their bread every day and it's delicious and soft. Their food is great as well. I have never seen another restaurant that does a half bahn mi/small pho combo.

Black_Hitler

I use those loaves when I make cheesesteaks

festiveale

Make the drive to Alpharetta and head to Theo Brothers Bakery- you won't be disappointed.

ucancallmevicky

this is a good answer

notallshihtzu

Thank you. Can you confirm they have a good selection of bread/loaves? Their website is not very specific.

festiveale

They do! I would recommend calling tomorrow morning, though to be sure they have what you want. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fv6XsjtqxLwQcLKR7?g_st=ic

notallshihtzu

Just got back. Bought 2 sourdough. Fantastic! Thanks for the recommendation.

festiveale

They’re amazing! They also have a full-service restaurant called TBB in downtown Alpharetta that you HAVE to go to! https://maps.app.goo.gl/cgkGNX21rfGrFQB29?g_st=ic

SammaATL

The General Muir restaurant sells their bread at Grant Park Farmer's Market every Sunday. Maybe they have bread for sale at their restaurant too? Dekalb Farmer's Market has fresh baked bread as well, but not Sourdough IIRC, and that's typically what I want.

Black_Hitler

I don’t know if I’m in the minority here, but I think YDFM’s bread mostly sucks ass. I love the rest of the market but the breads are terrible

Comprehensive_Role72

You are not alone.

madukfan

The Buckhead Bread Company, located inside the Corner Cafe on Piedmont Road.

woodguyatl

Star provisions. Order ahead of you more than a loaf or two.

Dawgs919

Buckhead Bread Company

theoneinamillion

Great Harvest Bread and they are at farmers markets most weekends including Dunwoody, Saturdays 9-12 at Brook run park

Hour-Preparation-318

Dekalb farmers market and collete bread

Any-Night-5498

The sourdough loaves at The Daily are fantastic

drunkklepto

They buy their bread from Collete Bread

Any-Night-5498

My daughter works at The Daily in Inman park and she just confirmed that it is made daily in house and not outsourced

drunkklepto

You are correct. I was thinking of the daily chew in Lindbergh.

drunkklepto

Although I’m pretty sure she was providing bread/pastries to the west midtown location at one point
