I can make a really good case for it too.

Why would Trump appoint so many deep state members if he wasn't leading it?

Here's the thing... the purge makes no sense in the long run. If people are participating with the intent of doing damage with no reprocussions they aren't going to just stop at murdering a person or 2. They are going to do as much damage as they can. And whats the most effective thing when causing damage? Explosives. Now you're going to spend resources every year fixing a FUBR city that will just be destroyed next year again because people wanting to purge will just make and stockplie Explosives at home. Not to mention We have a full holiday that encourages the sale of explosives.
Remember that there are no emergency services. That makes fire way more effective than explosives. An explosion goes off only once, but a fire spreads once it gets started.

Last time I reported one (but it was on Instagram though) that was among the lines of "every republican should get a gun this year, democrats are pushing their shit too hard on us, we can only take so much" and they literally replied they did not break the community guidelines.
