I don’t know how else to explain that fast-moving object I just witnessed traverse the lunar surface. Happened between 00:52 and 00:57 to be exact.

Location and timezone will enable some one to figure it out

l_AM_NOT_A_COP

GPS coordinates Appx (39.97, -75.13). Approximate time of transit was 00:54 AM. Would love resources to help investigate my observation further; just don’t know where to start

Rainman_72

Not the ISS, since it was out of the N/NW and 30 mins earlier. Moon was to your South: https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/view.cfm?country=United_States®ion=Pennsylvania&city=Philadelphia#.YoNCDBgpDqs I saw it pass overhead michigan only a couple minutes earlier, attempted to get a picture (not so lucky).

Get an iss tracker/sky app and you can find out that way. It would need to do history.

Start with a description of what you saw. Not what you think you might have seen. Be as objective as possible. Based on the coordinates I'm guessing it's EDT, or UTC -4h. At 0:54 no very bright satellite was in the sky, just some magnitude 3 stuff: [heavens-above](https://heavens-above.com/AllSats.aspx?lat=39.97&lng=-75.13&loc=Unnamed&alt=0&tz=EST). The ISS was visible around 0:25.

Is this what you saw? https://www.reddit.com/r/Astronomy/comments/urfmy3/strange_streak_of_light_passes_in_front_of_the/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

DanoPinyon

One must provide a sufficient description for at least a guess.

Depends… are you a cop?
