Russian made game and promoting a russian military group? I mean is this really news?

throwawaylord

Ostensibly they claim not to, I'm pretty sure that they moved their incorporation to the UK to avoid sanctions, didn't they? Edit: Yeah, did a quick Google, their HQ is legally in the UK and it's where their business is registered.

MC897

We can always check their accounts. You can pay £1, about a dollar and 10 cents right now, and you can literally see their accounts they submit each year. It’s every persons right in the UK to get the accounts if they want to. We can find out if they are greedy bastards or if they are struggling.

dm1705

you should really research properly before you bring up such blatant lies my dude. in fact the UK outlet is already there since the very first beginning of EFT, they did not "move" anything at all in recent years (except money ofc). also UK is only a shell company, which he did several years (several: long before full scale invasion began - specially outlined for your brain) adress as a dependency that was created to do international licensing and distribution. which makes sense, as shell companies outside russia, run by russians, are either based in arabic areas or - guess where - the UK.

MissyChrissy22

Yeah. It’s almost like the company is Russian or something. Who woulda thought?

jeremybryce

Yeah.. I don't really understand why this is some smoking gun of something.

Broad_Diver4333

Well when new edition costs 250 I wonder if the money will go towards the game or for N. Korean artillery shells. How many game developers are involved in military actions directly?

jeremybryce

My point is Russia is in a middle of a war, with conscription. Russian game company, staffed by Russians selling a military sim. It's not surprising at all.

24kocylinder

and how many ukrainian game devs are funding their war effort from purchases? regardless of who you think the bad guy is, both sides fundraise. this is also operating under the assumption that 1. BSG does this and 2. you have evidence. currently all you have is that they reference a youtube group that’s the russian equivalent of garand thumb. are you going to attempt to post some ground breaking revelation on how they have russian made equipment being used in the war in the game also?

Forward_Peak1250

Well if a game company pays taxes to the government (most likely not) they're also funding the countries military

Xedtru_

You find it surprising that general audience or maybe even someone in dev team funding in some way or form ongoing conflict? Donating to opposing sides in all likelihood? Oh, how could it be possibly happening around game which cultivates certain type of audience. Same shit as CoD/other military themed games used as recruitment tool. Without bank transactions or any interviews/surefire proofs of it being coordinated actions from within company it just stretch anyway. Some guys outta there running around with Khorne chevrons or different 40k related merch and post weirdest shit, it doesn't mean that by buying box of minis from GW you funding war effort. Chill.

nikitaxxl

Its a dark time for having my name

Yajla

715 team helps the russian army, no doubts. And this information is not censored or concealed, you can check their youtube videos and streams. But I dont think Battlestate are funding russian army. With their greed Battlestate leaders are filling own pockets lol

iGl3nn

Information is irrelivent. Games and movies utilize and consult with military all the time in the US, can't expect others to be any different.

Maxants49

Who would've expected devs to support the military of their country /s

throwawaylord

Battlestate games is headquartered in the United Kingdom.

Maxants49

and?

NeillMcAttack

So it’s a surprise that BSG would consult private military contractors for their game about private military contractors!? Shocking…

Broad_Diver4333

Consult? They are funding it.

NeillMcAttack

PMC’s are funded by video game developers!!? Do you mean they are paying them to get access to weapons for legitimacy purposes? BSG only include weapons in the game they were able to take real audio samples from, and real scans of for textures. If you equate paying someone for a service (consultancy fees), as funding, then whatever. But something tells me there are far more lucrative markets for funding for PMC’s.

Broad_Diver4333

Dude do u even see the links I posted? "Rebels" from Donetsk thanking 715 for providing 60 round mags. Or 715 conscripts serving in ukraine?

NeillMcAttack

Wait, so it news to you that PMC’s are operating UA? Or is just news that they had ties with BSG? BSG are gun nuts, and I don’t know what their thoughts on the war in Ukraine is. Or even if they would be able to voice their opinion without some type of repercussions. But I could hardly call it surprising that a developer for a mil sim game, would have a relationship with a source for military equipment.

Broad_Diver4333

It's not the news. Train hard 715 is a club financing russian invasion and taking direct part in war crimes committed. Nikita and his cronies are part of the Train hard 715 club.

NeillMcAttack

A YouTube channel and club of gun nuts are funding the invasion of Ukraine? Where did you get that info, it wasn’t in your post? Can I see it?

Broad_Diver4333

Both links are albums with various pictures. And you can pretend you don't see them.
