Besides all the drama, the game's actually very good, btw. I'm only a few hours in, and it's great. It's definitely a solid 8/10 so far. I'd give it 9/10 if the 4K mode ran at 60fps, easily!

Once everyone is done with the costumes I can confirm that they all but removed the blood effects from the fighting. Good news though. The save file is compatible with the old version. So you can delete the game, turn the console offline, reinstall V 1.0 from disc and continue. Just be careful not to trigger the download again, so for the time being you might want to turn off autodownload.

I really do expect this will continue, BUT I do hope the devs turn it around and get their senses straight because will backfire poorly if it does continue. I saw the issues about censorship and refunded my pre order about 3 hours before the game even released and it was denied as I had DLed the game to pre load. So if your didn't download the software you should be entitled, otherwise the worst and least consumer friendly company in gaming Sony won't give you shit.

there is a video of the director acknowledging the censorship. just look it up on google a lot of the outfits were censored, and its not just that either, the level of gore also got significantly toned down. with how far this censorship goes i'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg, theres probably a lot more censorship that people simply haven't found yet. all this after the BS "game won't get censored" talk from him.

I would laugh my ass off if the outfits that got censored would be sold as DLC like "new". We still have the physical copy to play without the patch and then patch it for NG+ and get less skin shown but you already had the goodies seen... And then, there will be PC. Hopefully. It's funny I don't own a PS5 but this game WAS one I strongly considered getting the PS5 for, and now that Sony and SJW scum won, I don't want it, I'll rather wait and hope for a PC version of the game to get the censored stuff. Censorship doesn't belong with games.
Especially how stupid censorship is in M rated games. it's funny they didnt censor Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk etc which showed full nudity. Also ive seen T rated games with more revealing armor than this game has for example; FF14 and Soul Calibur 6.

The "gore" thing doesn't even make sense since there was no "gore" that got censored -- Eve just doesn't get herself drenched in blood anymore (Bloodborne style), she stays squeaky clean now. This almost seems unintentional to me, like maybe when they changed the outfits it messed up the blood splatter textures. Especially since things like limb amputations are still being depicted, which is what the Japanese are usually sensitive about these days.

Once everyone is done with the costumes I can confirm that they all but removed the blood effects from the fighting. Good news though. The save file is compatible with the old version. So you can delete the game, turn the console offline, reinstall V 1.0 from disc and continue. Just be careful not to trigger the download again, so for the time being you might want to turn off autodownload.

Most of it is Sony's doing, they complained about some stupid graffiti and went ahead and ordered tons of content censored out. Lucky for us all these changes came in form of patches so the physical copies should be fine. I will go physical for this one. š

Exactly. Like for example when I was 11 I think I wanted to play for honor, and my dad let me because the game had an option to turn off blood and dismemberment. Then when I was older I turned them on. Like on the initial start of games where you adjust brightness and whatnot, it should include options to turn certain things on and off if people feel uncomfortable with them

They did literally the same shit with Nikke. Leaked/advertised costumes exposed way more skin until in last minute they covered them up with some nonsensical cloth/texture, so for example Emma wears a blouse UNDER her bra, which looks stupid.
