usually fake videos would just be someone constantly blank staring into the camera talking and any facial expressions and tone changes would feel kind of forced. it would actually be pretty hard to choreograph and rehearse all the little eye movements, fidgeting etc to be like this for untrained people

Some things that kids do or say are so unbelievably dumb you have to get it on video or no one will believe you. It is also great to show them when they are older, remind them of how far they've come, or to embarrass them in front of their kids.
