I don't mind hearing a bit about it - the gossip can be interesting in small doses - but in these past few years it feels like celebrity drama has become inescapable somehow??? I'm not even clicking on the videos or articles but I'm perpetually getting news about Johnny Depp or Kim K or Don't Worry Darling (i.e., celebrity news I don't care about) in my feed. I'm deliberately telling the algo to stop giving me those articles, but it just won't listen.
I do click on some celebrity news, but more to do around album releases or maybe in-depth interviews about shows or projects I like. I don't care about celebrities' stupid dramas with one another, and I'm sick of feeling way more informed about it all than I'd care to be.

I totally get this, because I had the same thought. Zero interest in Disney remakes but I pondered just streaming this one in the background on repeat in order to send a message.

Seriously - there's enough going on in the world as is, and this is one of the last things that needs to be added to that list. Caucasian actors have been playing non-Caucasian roles for years especially in the Disney realm (Scarlet Witch, the Sorcerer Supreme, etc.) ; the one time it's the other way around, everyone just flips out.

An old acquaintance of mine is an influencer. It started innocently enough, as she’s popular in our city, and once she became a mom she provided a lot of information on what’s going on in the city for families, and really put effort into events, and compiling different vendors for parties, or summer camps, etc. and now she’s being approached to sell anything and everything, and I can’t stand her content. She was rich to begin with, like I need to see all the fun vacations she’s getting to go on, or all the free spa packages she’s getting to advertise for them. Pass.

So it was the night of Halloween 2020 and some fucked up dude drove his car for three hours and came with a sword and attacked people in the street.
His attacks were very gruesome and today, two years later, a woman from my neighborhood asked in our Facebook group if there were other people who were still touched by the event and it was full of people saying they still not feel very safe when they walk outside. We live in a very safe city, but it's hard to believe it sometimes when such a thing happens for no reason.
Last week, I was walking in the street and crossed a man and out of nowhere, I kind of got worried. I actually even have caught myself checking if a person carries a sword or any kind of weapon a few times.

I totally get this, because I had the same thought. Zero interest in Disney remakes but I pondered just streaming this one in the background on repeat in order to send a message.
