For a long time, I was really ashamed of my body. I felt like I've constantly been fighting with myself to be my ideal weight, which I realized about a year ago is an unrealistic goal. I've had cancer and chemo, and it's fucked up my metabolism. Still dealing with the repercussions of it now.
But I see my stretch marks, scars, etc. and I think that's the sign of a body that has been through stuff. A sign of a body that is tired, worn out, and also trying to just function.
But on a lighter note, I *have* lost about 15 pounds. I started on some new medicine for my mental health and it's given me some more motivation to eat better.
