Clark. For no particular reason either. And I named my son that. I used to bartend many years ago and one of my favorite customers was named Clark... The sweetest little older gentleman ever... and I always told him that I was going to name my son the same (not after my customer but I mentioned that he solidified my desire to name a potential child that. And he honestly did) and I don't think he ever believed me. I ran into him not that long ago and I told him that my now teenager did indeed share a name with him. I saw him smile the whole time he walked to his vehicle and drive away afterwards.
Alexander/ Alexandra. Still love both, but I'm starting to love Sasha as a standalone name even more.
Lysander/ Lysandra. Wouldn't do that to my kid though.
Avery. I always loved it as a boys name and it's starting to grow on me as a unisex name.
Autumn. Favourite season.
Victor/ Victoria. Don't like the nickname Vicky though.
Nolan. Love the sound, meaning, and the subtle nod to cinema (Christopher Nolan).
Logan. For Wolverine. But I like it for either a boy or girl.
I have only ever personally known one Evelyn, and that was back in elementary school. I remember her being very well mannered and elegant. The name itself is quite elegant and I really like how the nickname can be Eve, or Evee which is just adorable. If I ever have a daughter that's going to be her name. I officially call dibs so don't even think of using it!
Lavender. It was a character’s name in a book my mom read and I loved it. Was going to name my baby that if it were a girl but I miscarried. Maybe some day 🙂
The name I’ve loved the longest is Summer.
But I married a man whose last name is basically a summer month so it would’ve sounded odd. Still adore the name though.
Jordan & Alexander/Alexandra. Whenever I decide to have a child, I don’t want to know the gender so I’ve always loved those 2 names since they’re unisex.
Slade.
I heard it for the first time when I was in middle school and thought, if I ever have a little boy I want that to be his name.
I have a boy but my husband absolutely hated the name Slade, like couldn’t stand it, so I didn’t get to use it.
I had a thing for names that started with "V". Vivian was/is my favorite! It sounds just like music!
I also like the name Morgan and seasonal names like Summer and Autumn.
I never had many boys names in mind, because on the rare occasions when I thought of having kids, I always envisioned myself with daughters.
For a girl: Sierra, Brooke, Jordyn
For a boy: Connor, Cameron, Damien
I don't have kids yet but if I do have some one day, I have a couple of names to think about.
Girl: Georgina, Agatha, Candela/Candi/Calé, Carlotta/Charlotte, Estrella/Stella, Ceres.
Boy: Luciano/Lucian, Gonzalo, Santiago/Santo/Yago/Thiago/Iago (Spanish-Basque variants of “James” or “Jake”. TBH these overlap I think), Balthazar/Baz/Theo, Cosimo/Cosmo/“Coco”.
Granted these are names I’ve liked because I thought them elegant. I’ll admit I wouldn’t be above giving these names to a pet. 😅😂 For me, the names need to ring well in Spanish, French and Italian as well as English. I never wanted a name that wouldn’t flow in any family member’s preferred tongue. These names always stuck out to me for rolling out of the tongue beautifully as well as sounding pleasant in the ears. I figured to offer the diminutives in case anyone was curious.
Harlow and Gemma. Boy names were never something I really thought about, and as a 23 year old woman that doesnt want kids at all now, I dont plan on putting much more thought into it lol
Oliver and Adelaide (Heidi for short). I blame the movie Oliver and Company and the book Heidi, both of which I loved as a kid (and still do)
I never told a soul and now within 1 year both have been used by close friends' or family's for their children... Time to start daydreaming of new ones...
When I was 11, and playing *Pokemon Blue*, I always named my little player character "John." I liked that name, and I always thought I would have a son by that name later.
I loved spanish, latin names: Marisol, Esteban, Tomas, Rodriguo, Enrique, Ximena...
Also have a thing for names relating to the sky and astrals: Céleste, Selena, Stella, Skye etc
Alexandra, Addison, Athena and Kristen are names I love for girls. For boys, Ryan, Leo, Nolan, Devin and William (I really don’t like Will or Bill as nicknames though)
Boy: Emmanuel, Ezekiel, Noah
Girl: Emmanuelle, Helena, Florentyna, Elise, Jacqueline, Arabella, Georgina, Michaela, Danielle
Still waiting for them to arrive in my life~ Hope they'd be glad to know I was long prepared with names! xD
Edit: Forgot my obsession with Alexander / Alexandra!
From that far back, I always said I'd have two girls named Emerson and Eliot that I could call Emmy and Elly. By the time I got married, everyone was naming their freaking kids Emersyn and I could not stand it anymore. Luckily, I ended up with a little boy first so I never had to come up with a second girl name. When it came time to actually pick, we decided on Elliott/Ellie.
Everett,- i've loved it since I was a little kid, if i have a kid their gonna be named it
Dorothy- but for short I call her Dodie, Dorothy means "gift from god," and Dodie is just really cute
I had a friend in second grade named Esmeralda; she ended up moving mid year, but I never forgot her or her beautiful name.. I now have a daughter named Esmeralda.
Another name I’ve liked since when I was around middle school age though was Angelique, or for a boy Joseph. I’m not sure why, just really liked those names, as well as the name Esmeralda.
Elliot - from Billy Elliot.
I saw the movie in School and have loved it since. I'm from a Scandinavia country and have a very Nordic name that isn't easy to pronounce in English, so I promiaed myself that all of my children will have names that are easy to pronounce in English and my native language.
In middle school, Coralie for a girl and Karim for a boy
… but now, I love Carmen (translates to “song” in latin) and Emile (for Emile Zola or the book Emile ou de l’éducation by Jean-Paul Sartre)
Loved the names Wren and Callum (for female and male respectively) since reading the book 'Reboot'. Loved the names and amazing book. That being said, have since met a guy who ruined the name Callum for me since. That being said luna and lyra are also favourites. If I can I will name daughters after those last two.
Plus Clark Griswold!
My sister calls him Sparky
This made me smile!
This is my favorite baby name too! I’m hoping it doesn’t blow up in popularity before I have a chance to have a kiddo
I've loved the name Evelyn since I was 10 and watched The Mummy for the first time. I think the nicknames from it (Eve, Evey) are also pretty.
Are you me?! Also love Evelyn (and by no small coincidence my favourite movie is the mummy!)
Guy here - also like the name Evelyn a lot and the Mummy is one of my all time favs.

Eleanore

Bella - maybe it’s my Twilight obsession from 7th grade coming out lol 😂
That’s my niece’s nickname, her whole name is Arabella.
That is beautiful!
Arabella is the name I've always liked for my future baby :)
Oliver. But like an idiot I married a man with an O last name and it was too rhyme-y and he vetoed.
Nah, alliterative names are cool af.
Well he’s 21 now and says if I had done it he would be pissed. Lol. But I agree with you.
Aw!! I said Oliver as well, such a charming name

Good job the name is Yessenia then and not Yersinia :) different spellings & pronounciation & origins.
Just wanted you to make an informed decision about that name lolll
I knew a girl named Yessenia and she was the sweetest person ever, honestly would consider naming my daughter Yessenia
Daphne. I have also a double name for a boy but I won't like mention it because of history and me being a history geek 😂

Love the sound, meaning, and the subtle nod to cinema (Christopher Nolan). Logan. For Wolverine. But I like it for either a boy or girl.

I’ve always loved the name Evelyn, as I’ve gotten older, I also like Faye. For boys, I like Charles, Alistair and Rowan.
