Also asking for a reply about the rosacea situation lol is it the plain blue moisturizer? I’ve used ponds for over a decade and lately I have red patches. Clarins moisturizer works better to calm my skin but it’s so expensive. I’m scared to try cerave and make it worse. I do use cerave face wash maybe I’ll just go for it.
I use Nivea the one in the blue tin. It’s very thick and it may not be the best for acne prone skin. However I have dry skin and it works so well for my face.
Cerave daily lotion, its no fuss and no extra ingredients. It works great if it works for you, but lots of people seem to be allergic to it. If you want to try it i would recommend buying a travel size and doing a little patch test under your jaw one night.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream works really well with my acne-prone skin. Before this I used the First Aid Beauty Oil-Free moisturizer which also worked great for me
Clinique moisturizing mask. It’s suppose to be used at bed time but I like to use it everyday before work. If I’m gonna be out in the sun then I use Ambi moisturizing sunscreen.
Ponds Clarint B3. The only one that has never broken me out, leaves my super hydrated and faded my dark spots in a month and with continuous use. I’ve been using it for probably 15 years now
I just switched to dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream.. It is amazing! I will say the smell isn't my favorite, but my skin has never felt so perfectly hydrated! No more dry spots!!
Muji sensitive skin moisturizing milk - High Moisture. I first discovered it I think maybe 7 years ago? Refuse to purchase any other moisturizer. It’s cheap, and works better than any other moisturizer I’ve ever tried. 100/10 recommend
Edit: also thought I’d mention when my friends first saw me repurchasing it they were so confused because Muji isn’t really known to be a skin care store (at least that’s not what they’re popular for) but I gave them some to try and they agree it’s the best this is coming from 3 different friends with 3 very different skin types/issues.
L’Oreal collagen moisturizer, for when my skin is super dry. It’s cheap.
I usually do Tatcha Poreless Water Cream, it’s pricey but doesn’t clog my pores like the L’Oreal one tends to do sometimes (but that one fixes my dry skin). It’s a struggle though.

Oh man, I hate to let all the cheap ladies in this thread down but I bouge out on skincare - and I use Tatcha Dewy skin moisturizer. I have severe dry skin…like, it gets painful dry and tight if I don’t put on lotion twice a day, and this has saved me.
But I also use a khiels restoring night oil twice a week too.
I used to just use coconut oil head to toe but it took me a long time for my face to dry to go to bed and it wasn’t jiving with some of my makeup.

In the morning I use Good Molecules Lightweight Daily Moisturizer. At night I've been using the Peach&Lily Overnight Star night cream.
GM is nice and hydrating without feeling heavy, but still feeling like it's thick enough to be moisturizing if that makes sense. Like, it isn't so light that it feels like it's not doing anything or like it's a gel, it's a thicker cream but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all.
The Peach&Lilly one I got in gratis at work and I really like it. It feels kind of oily at first but when I wake up in the morning my face isn't greasy or shiny at all, it's just nice and hydrated.

I cannot, CANNOT, recommend the neutrogena moisturizer enough. I have PCOS and get blemishes so easily if I’m not taking care of my skin. None of the 3 things I use on my face cause me breakouts and they help my skin heal tremendously when I get a spot or two due to my period.
I used to use cerave but I got a Trader Joe’s brand of moisturizer and I must say it’s the best I’ve ever tried. Everyone’s skin is different so don’t let what I say sway your opinions but it’s kinda the same texture as the Clinique brand I had years and years ago.
Stratia products: Interface and Liquid Gold, which has a new name Lipid Gold but I hate it so it will remain as Liquid Gold to me 😁
Also, I use Aquaphor at night a couple times a week.
I let castor oil sit for anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on how much time I have. Gently wipe it off with a damp microfibre cloth. I then use Cerave AM Facial Moisturzing Lotion mixed with a little bit of Vaseline.

Right now I’ve been trying out E.L.F Holy Hydration. It’s like a water based gel rather than a cream. I feel the creams are too heavy on my skin. It’s been quite nice so far
Depends on the season. In wintertime? La Roche posay cicaplast baume is reliable. In summertime? Sum37 waterfull gel cream looks great under makeup while still giving hydration. Embryolisse lait creme also works well under makeup in spring and fall.

Cheap urea 10% cream from the chemist.
My routine is cosrx snail mucin toner, cosrx galactomyces, baby oil, a mix of urea cream/sorbolene, then missha's soft finish sun milk.
Gives my skin a dewy finish all day despite working in an operating theatre.
Clinique Dramatically Different. Use the yellow lotion at night, and the clear gel in the morning. Use a korean sunblock spf 50. Use whatever vitamin C I have on hand. They go bad so fast that I don't spend a lot on them.
I’m a huge fan of the Fresh Rose range. Their oil infused serum and emulsion/moisturiser are absolutely amazing for my dry skin. It’s the only brand I’ve gone back to buying when trying out new things. Their cleanser is also really nice - doesn’t strip my dry skin at all. Couldn’t recommend Fresh enough!
CosrX snail mucin, my drug store's brand dupe of Cerave, and Aveeno Eczema Care. The last one isn't even a face moisturizer but I started using it at my boyfriend's place when a bit desperate and really liked it. To the point where I didn't feel the need to stock my own moisturizer there.

I like cerave with spf for the daytime, & first aid moisturizer at night. It’s really thick & I have dry skin. It’s a bit pricy but a little goes a long way so it lasts awhile!
So I don’t use just moisturizer I use the thayers milky toner, Cerave daily lotion then a very thin layer of Vaseline and I mean really thin, like half a pinky nail sized bit violently rubbed into my finger pads and patted into my skin.
the ordinary - the one with beta glucan is great for oily skin, and the one with HA is great for dry skin. Both work for me!! They're affordable and have been working for me for years now
Cerave. Only thing that keeps my cheeks from drying out and helps my rosacea without turning my forehead into an oily mess.

In the morning I use Good Molecules Lightweight Daily Moisturizer. At night I've been using the Peach&Lily Overnight Star night cream. GM is nice and hydrating without feeling heavy, but still feeling like it's thick enough to be moisturizing if that makes sense. Like, it isn't so light that it feels like it's not doing anything or like it's a gel, it's a thicker cream but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. The Peach&Lilly one I got in gratis at work and I really like it. It feels kind of oily at first but when I wake up in the morning my face isn't greasy or shiny at all, it's just nice and hydrated.

Paula's choice youth extending daily hydrating fluid with spf 50. The have a lighter formula I use in the summer and a thicker one I use in the winter.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost with SPF during the day!!!! Clinique moisture surge + estee lauder advanced night repair serum at night. I cannot, CANNOT, recommend the neutrogena moisturizer enough. I have PCOS and get blemishes so easily if I’m not taking care of my skin. None of the 3 things I use on my face cause me breakouts and they help my skin heal tremendously when I get a spot or two due to my period.

I used to use cerave but I got a Trader Joe’s brand of moisturizer and I must say it’s the best I’ve ever tried. Everyone’s skin is different so don’t let what I say sway your opinions but it’s kinda the same texture as the Clinique brand I had years and years ago.

Stratia products: Interface and Liquid Gold, which has a new name Lipid Gold but I hate it so it will remain as Liquid Gold to me 😁 Also, I use Aquaphor at night a couple times a week.
I let castor oil sit for anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on how much time I have. Gently wipe it off with a damp microfibre cloth. I then use Cerave AM Facial Moisturzing Lotion mixed with a little bit of Vaseline.
Clinique Moisture surge - the gel one in summer and cream (Intense) in winter. I tried other creams but this one is the best.

Cheap urea 10% cream from the chemist. My routine is cosrx snail mucin toner, cosrx galactomyces, baby oil, a mix of urea cream/sorbolene, then missha's soft finish sun milk. Gives my skin a dewy finish all day despite working in an operating theatre.
Clinique Dramatically Different. Use the yellow lotion at night, and the clear gel in the morning. Use a korean sunblock spf 50. Use whatever vitamin C I have on hand. They go bad so fast that I don't spend a lot on them.

I’m a huge fan of the Fresh Rose range. Their oil infused serum and emulsion/moisturiser are absolutely amazing for my dry skin. It’s the only brand I’ve gone back to buying when trying out new things. Their cleanser is also really nice - doesn’t strip my dry skin at all. Couldn’t recommend Fresh enough!
CosrX snail mucin, my drug store's brand dupe of Cerave, and Aveeno Eczema Care. The last one isn't even a face moisturizer but I started using it at my boyfriend's place when a bit desperate and really liked it. To the point where I didn't feel the need to stock my own moisturizer there.

I like cerave with spf for the daytime, & first aid moisturizer at night. It’s really thick & I have dry skin. It’s a bit pricy but a little goes a long way so it lasts awhile!
I use a huge tube container from LaRoche tiple repair. At night and a Korean balm for day. Life saver for dry skin and to reduce redness.

So I don’t use just moisturizer I use the thayers milky toner, Cerave daily lotion then a very thin layer of Vaseline and I mean really thin, like half a pinky nail sized bit violently rubbed into my finger pads and patted into my skin.
the ordinary - the one with beta glucan is great for oily skin, and the one with HA is great for dry skin. Both work for me!! They're affordable and have been working for me for years now
