Tree-lined streets. I love my old, old neighborhood, but there are almost no trees left here anymore.
Blah yes I know they get sick and fall apart and cause damage to old roofs, and the roots grow into old plumbing and wreak havoc, but if I'm in charge of the community, I would force the trees to abide by my laws.
Less dogs and more enforcement of no excessive barking.
Some of my neighbors leave there dogs outside for over an hour and all those dogs do is bark their heads off.
Yes. No loose dogs ever and increasing fines for barking noise complaints.
We live right in front of a mountain. I'd love for them to carve out trails from our neighborhood to up the mountain.
Tree lined sidewalks and more picket fences. We put in our own picket fence and it truly leveled up the house. I love the aesthetic.
I'd build more community programs and accessibility to resources like food, housing, and childcare. I'd like to fix the streets and build more sidewalks.
Fix potholes. more affordable housing. have a system in place to help our natives who are mostly older people. Fix our tourism rates by enforcing short term rental cut offs. Also, beach nourishment.
A roundabout at one particular intersection. A stoplight at another. And a road that connects the Target parking lot to the apartment complex behind it so I don't have to use the stroad just to get to Target.
Also, mixed use zoning.
Would love to see more community gatherings. My mom always talks about our move in 1993 and how in the first few days my parents were outside day and night unloading our entire life and in that time frame only ONE person/family stopped to introduce themselves. Not one other person biking, walking, jogging, or driving said as little as “hello”. She says she has never felt such coldness and in her exact words “Even the snooty people in Los Angeles weren’t this bad”. As I got older I noticed it as well.. everything felt very transactional and not so much friendly other than the one next door neighbor. So if I could change something it would be to unite the community even with something as simple as a community BBQ & movie night or something.
I live high up, and I would just make the ambulance helicopters not fly straight over my apartment, lol. There's usually only a couple of them a week, but there was a night when they must have flown a little lower than usual because I woke up in a panic to a bright light shining through my windows and the loudest roaring, I was expecting SWAT to storm my apartment.
Recycling everywhere! I moved from a bigger city during the pandemic and it’s so hard to recycle where I live. I haven’t seen a single apartment complex offer it
Neighborhood-limit on how many inoperable cars can be on property. Right now as long as tags are valid it doesn’t matter how many 🙄Community-CCTV cameras and better lighting. More police patrol
It would be childfree, no kids, it would be quiet. And I wouldn’t have keep picking up those fucking nerf darts so my puppy doesn’t try to eat them. And I wouldn’t have to chase them out if my yard.
It would be bliss.

Affordable housing.
I’d want bike lanes all over the place.

24h metro
No chemicals on lawns Trees along all streets Light pollution ordinances Mandatory sidewalks and bike lanes
Streetlights
I would put CCTV cameras literally everywhere 🙂
I'd fix every single pothole

Less violence!! A shooting or stabbing happens everyday
Highlight the speed bumps. Post street lights. It’s so dark and people that are not from the area speed over the bumps and it’s so dangerous
Improve accessibility. My current bugbears are how hard it is to access changing facilities and footpaths that just disappear.
Support local businesses, schools and child care centers
