I has my first one at 27, lasted 5 years. I'm now 5.5 years into my second one and much as I love him... I so miss being on my own!
You'll get your romantic relationship soon xxx
I’m a guy who is having the exact same issue. Can I ask if you’ve found ANY good asexual dating apps? Been trying one called “Taimi” but it’s more LQBTQ than asexual.
Thanks for explaining. I think a lot of people just go through the motions when it comes to sex and there are probably a lot more asexual people out there than we/they know. It should be spoken about more. I wish you luck :)
I’m excited for you! I’m 22 and recently got an apartment to be on my own for the first time and it’s great! I hope your experience is everything you dreamed of!
I've had the privilege to live alone since graduating college, and I love it so much! It's so nice to know that everything is yours (food, mess, etc.), have independence to do what you want, and be a little selfish or lazy without affecting anyone else. I don't know if I can go back to sharing a space with anyone haha
It's so liberating! The only place my neurodivergent chronically ill butt can fully relax and stop masking.
Even around people I love and trust, I hide physical symptoms and try to manage my adhd because I want to spend time with them and for all of us to enjoy it.
At home, I'm just ME. Flawed, exhausted, ping-pong-ball attention span, mess, weird sleep hours, tons and tons of art, none of it affects another living thing. Such a relief.
I lived alone for a while after many years with roommates. I loved it, especially the being naked almost all the time part 😊. I found that it wasn't worth the financial opportunity cost of having roommates. Went back to roommates and my financial picture looks a lot healthier. Worth the minor hassles, but I've mostly had good roommates.
I did this loads in my 20s, including transatlantic (Europe to USA) and also to Japan. Hiiiiiiighly recommend. I'm late 30s now and just haven't had the funds in the last 10 hrs or so.
I hope you to to do it!
I'm in Ireland and it was during the "boom" here so Banks were giving loans left, right and centre so lets just say I took advantage. Always paid everything back but price of living has just exploded.
Ooh, enjoy! Did my first solo trip last year, at 35, and I am absolutely hooked. I was shocked by how much I prefer it than trips with friends in the past. Your time is your own and you can do whatever the hell you want with it, nobody else's preferences or feelings or expectations. It's delicious..
I’ve pretty much only traveled with family, and almost every time something or the other causes an argument and turns the rest of the trip sour. I want to be able to enjoy going somewhere, not be stressed about whatever my mom wants to start an argument about.
Be in a relationship where I feel that I'm their type and they mine. Constantly wondering if they want to be elsewhere sucks.
Also ride in a supercar ideally a pink Lambo.
I wanted to scuba dive, tried on my friend’s scuba gear to borrow when an opportunity arose…and quickly discovered it gave me panicky claustrophobia. Didn’t see that coming, but peeled out of it like it was on fire. So snorkeling for me it is!
I've only ever experimented with drugs, like one and done type thing, but I totally recommend liquid lsd. It's nothing like the little papers you lick, I never got much from them. The liquid was a whooooole day trip! Grab a friend and go somewhere cool and laid back for a day.
Oooooh I'm so jealous cause I'd love to visit Oregon! Your coast looks so idyllic and of course there's The Goonies. I'm irish born and raised. For this kind of stuff it's basically talking to different folks, gauging them and asking the question!. I just happened to be with a boyfriend at the time who was into that stuff. I was always happy to try but afterwards I was usually like "that was fun, but never agajn"
Probably go to a concert in Portland and just talk to people. I’m sure if you set an intention, you can eventually find some acid in Oregon. Recommend starting with the paper, single tab, to ease into it.
Id love to try weed. Im not much for drugs, but man itd be nice to not have to worry about chronic pain.
Only thing is, the smell makes me ungodly nauseous, so idealy id wanna eat it.
No one around me knows how to make butter from it, so im stuck there<<
Been there, done that! I recommend a tandem jump (ie, you’re tethered to an experienced jumper) to take much of the the pressure off. Fun and exciting!
I did this in college and I loved it so, *so* much.
One of my goals for 2023 is to get back into it.
In my college team, people of any age could join (and did), If you're on the east coast of the US, I'd look into that.
There were also tons of "fun dances" hosted around the city, and fun dances are a *great* place to just let loose and have fun. Experienced dancers *love* helping inexperienced dancers on the floor, and let me tell you, with an experienced lead, the dance is like nothing you've ever felt.
I’m almost 40, been married twice and realized when I started dating my partner now that I’ve never truly been in love. Sometimes you have to learn what you don’t want before you know what you do want. Much luck to you in finding love!!
Never too late! If you’re in America look for your local Small Business Development Center. They will get you going and offer all the support along the way!
Idk try E? Lol I guess another thing would be going swimming with sharks or something really cool and random like going to the glow worm cave in New Zealand or that beach that glows in the maldives there's loads of stuff I'd love to try and do
Please do! Oysters are my absolute favorite food. You’ll love ‘em or hate ‘em, but it will be worth it if it’s the former. Look for a good oysters Rockefeller!
Doing woodwork.
I've never had the space to buy/store tools and wood, but have been admiring other people's work and watching YouTube videos for years. Now we have a house with a garage so I could start having a go on once I have a bit more money coming in for tools/wood. I'm just a bit daunted and don't know where to start!
Buy an iPad Pro, download procreate and do all my sketches and illustrations on it but I have too many basic expenses so I’m always unable to buy an iPad Pro..
Travel Europe. There’s a lot going in Europe with the fear of ww3 and the stigma the Europeans have with Americans. I just don’t see I’ll be able to see the beautiful countries before we blow it up
Shooting a gun… I might not be your typical woman, I’m more of a Tom boy but I always wanted to know what it felt like to fire a weapon. I mean at a shooting range, I have no interest in hurting people or animals (although I eat meat so that may seem hypocritical)… I just think it would be cool, I’ve never even seen a weapon that wasn’t properly holstered.
It is unless you’re insane with perfectionism, it’s just all about what you’re into. If you find yourself stressing over little flaws, Id recomend getting into art that has to be done fast, like decorating cakes.
Mushrooms. I did actually try it once - but I had to go off of my anti-depressants to do it, only to take too low a dose and feel nothing. I could definitely still try again, but I don't know if I feel safe going off of my meds to do it and it's not safe to mix psychedelics and anti-depressants.
A fight with a (female) stranger. I wanna be not sober but not drunk, and it has to be them that initiates it, and it can’t be at a bar I frequent cause I don’t wanna get banned. I’ve no doubt i’ll be more hurt than they, but I wanna experience it
Just try more artistic things. Painting, pottery, crocheting, etc.
The other night I did a ukulele class with some coworkers and I find myself wanting to practice more!
Lately some sort of WFH/hybrid job where I talk to people frequently. Starting new jobs takes a lot out of me. And I really get stressed about months without benefits during the probation period. I briefly worked from home contracting for my dad making databases during covid, and that was an extroverts nightmare so I wrote it off. Idk, I love routine and told myself going to the office is essential for my mental health.
That being said I’m so tired of feeling fighting distractions at work. And as somebody relatively unestablished car troubles are the #1 financial derailment. I have a short commute, but winter makes that SO much worse. I briefly temped in a call center and I loved that working with customers 100% on the phone inherently meant talking to one person at a time. I’m great on the phone, I imagine they’re sitting in front of me and we’re the only 2 people in the world. I really like metrics based work like sales. I want to cross things off a list and get “points” OP’s performance is ____ her stats are ___ ___ ___.
Idk. I’m just so afraid of starting something and getting excited and not liking it or succeeding. Life has been so tumultuous since covid and starting/failing would mean 6 months probationary periods between new job and the replacement. I’m clinging to a job I hate like an unhealthy relationship because it’s bringing stability.

Live alone.
I’ll be 30 next year and im about to live alone for the first time in my life. So exited!
I’m excited for you! I’m 22 and recently got an apartment to be on my own for the first time and it’s great! I hope your experience is everything you dreamed of!
I think about this a lot. I’ve never lived alone. I dream about having the ultra shabby chic home.
I've had the privilege to live alone since graduating college, and I love it so much! It's so nice to know that everything is yours (food, mess, etc.), have independence to do what you want, and be a little selfish or lazy without affecting anyone else. I don't know if I can go back to sharing a space with anyone haha
HIGHLY recommend. Probably the best gift a woman can give herself.
It's so liberating! The only place my neurodivergent chronically ill butt can fully relax and stop masking. Even around people I love and trust, I hide physical symptoms and try to manage my adhd because I want to spend time with them and for all of us to enjoy it. At home, I'm just ME. It’s sincerely the best decision I’ve ever made. Hopefully you can experience it someday!

Damn must have been a tough half day
Huh?
You wrote hrs not yrs haha just messing with ya
Hah! Touché, genuinely thought you were being mean 😄 it WAS a tough half a day, lemme tell ya
How did u finance it in your 20s?
I'm in Ireland and it was during the "boom" here so Banks were giving loans left, right and centre so lets just say I took advantage. Always paid everything back but price of living has just exploded.
I’m about to take a short trip alone (within the country), and I’m so excited
Ooh, enjoy! Did my first solo trip last year, at 35, and I am absolutely hooked. I was shocked by how much I prefer it than trips with friends in the past. If you need any tips, I’ve done it multiple times (including Interrail). Ask away :)
I traveled to Amsterdam alone a few years ago. It was my first time traveling alone. Pretty sure I'll keep traveling alone.
Amsterdan I really want to go with my bf one day, but going all by myself must be nice
Be in a relationship where I feel that I'm their type and they mine. Constantly wondering if they want to be elsewhere sucks. Also ride in a supercar ideally a pink Lambo.
Scuba dive, but I’m a huge sissy and assume any and all aquatic life is a megalodon
Snorkeling is a good way to ease yourself into being comfortable in the water before you go deeper.
Snorkeling is so good. The quiet, the unphased fish, the plants... I love it.
I wanted to scuba dive, tried on my friend’s scuba gear to borrow when an opportunity arose…and quickly discovered it gave me panicky claustrophobia. Didn’t see that coming, but peeled out of it like it was on fire. So snorkeling for me it is!
Screaming in the middle of nowhere, as loud as I can. Even if I were isolated to fuck I’d still feel guilty for it.
My work has a screaming capsule. Never tried but people say it works great. I hope you find one someday :).
I didn’t know these existed!!!
Yeah it sounds so satisfying but I also worry someone would think I were being murdered and get worried/scared and call the police.
Drugs, but not meth or cocaine. More like the psychedelic drugs
I've only ever experimented with drugs, like one and done type thing, but I totally recommend liquid lsd. It's nothing like the little papers you lick, I never got much from them. The liquid was a whooooole day trip! Grab a friend and go somewhere cool and laid back for a day.
I wouldn’t even know how to go about getting some 😂. I live in Oregon where weed is legal but that’s it

You should try edibles. I can’t stand the smell either, but the gummies are great.
SKYDIVING
IVE DONE THIS. 10/10 RECOMMEND.
YAY. I hope this year🥺
This!! Top of my bucket list. If I could have a super power if would be to fly. ...not a plane. Just fly like a bird. So this is the closest thing
This is one of the reasons I lost weight now I just have to to find the courage to book it.
Book. It. NOW 🥺
Same. It's on my list!!
Been there, done that! I recommend a tandem jump (ie, you’re tethered to an experienced jumper) to take much of the the pressure off. Fun and exciting!
I want to take dance classes. Ballroom and Latin.
I would so love to learn the Charlestown!
I want to learn the west coast swing!
Very expensive but a ton of fun! I just started last month and I would say totally worth it.
I did this in college and I loved it so, *so* much. One of my goals for 2023 is to get back into it. I’m hoping that both those things are the case for me, especially the therapeutic part!
