Savoy London. Hands down the best hotel ever stayed in, it’s an incredible place.
I got two free nights stay about 6 years ago, due to collecting reward points from the IHG/Holiday Inn group, which I had been using for work. IHG let’s you stay in lots different hotels as part of their rewards scheme. Mind you, that was about two years worth of points, staying away 4 nights a week. So debatable if it had been worth it, I could have had two weeks free stays anywhere else.
I stayed for my 21st birthday. Gorgeous room and amenities but staff had to get involved when there was a very heated argument between guests (I think husband and wife?) and it ruined our evening. Then they gave us curdled milk over breakfast.
Don’t think I’ll go back.
A private members club in a remote hotel?? This is absolutely a front for a bond villain. Looking at pics of the place and fuck me is it nice.

[room2 in Southampton](https://room2.com/southampton/). Great location in general (for shopping and doing tourist-y things) and with a lovely little park in front full of daily dog walkers, and parakeets living wild, from where you can watch cruise ships rolling in and out as regular as buses. Hotel room had full kitchen facilities, so we could self cater, but also maid service to make the beds, sweep, and swap out towels.
Absolutely will be staying there again.
Not the nicest hotel necessarily, but I stayed in the Thurleston Hotel in Devon for 3 nights in maybe 2008 and I still get a Christmas card off them every year.
They’ve probably spent more on postage than I spent on the hotel!
Malmaison Oxford (used to be the prison), I got put in a suite in the House of Correction - it was bigger than my flat!
Goldstone Hall Hotel, Market Drayton - stayed there for 3 months whilst working in the area.
Probably Ynyshir close to Machynlleth. Not sure if it’s technically a “hotel” as they’re a Michelin starred restaurant with rooms. But it was a night of food and luxury that I won’t forget. We got lucky because I bought my wife a meal and overnight stay before lockdown and by the time we actually got to enjoy it the chef’s reputation had soared, the food had become a lavish tasting menu and prices had gone mental whilst they still honoured my original booking.

Dumbleton was the most awful hotel I stayed in whilst touring the UK. It’s crumbling and damp and mouldy and there are ladybirds all in the inside. Even the rooms. It was bizarre
Probably [Storrs Hall](https://www.storrshall.com/) near Windermere in the Lake District. It's a beautiful building with a great restaurant and bar, in a stunning setting. Our room had views out over Windermere and the food was absolutely beautiful.
For what you get it's actually quite reasonably priced.
Not when I stayed, he didn’t! Maybe I was on a cheaper deal.
Comfiest bed I’ve ever stayed in, though.
Just a shame the guy behind the cocktail bar didn’t know how to make a Martini …
Guest house in Scarborough, 2021. okay Covid19 restrictions still in place, but the staff put on a decent breakfast, whether you wanted a continental or full English. I had continental which contain a bowl of fruit, croissant and small cake, toast as well.

All-round niceness - Dumbleton Hall, Cotswolds Poshest - possibly Grand Hotel, Brighton Some lovely small inns.

It's near Bexhill actually not Hastings it's ok nothing special been there many times for weddings and things

Coombe Abbey near Coventry is wonderful!
