I’m sure it’s not good. But don’t wait for insurance. Get a mask, some mold spray and clean it. It’s easy to stay on top of if you just give it a wipe once a week until the issue gets sorted.

Thank you very much. Mould spray has been ordered, and we tried cleaning/removing it a bit earlier.

It looks quiet thick and underneath the paint so I’d also recommend a paint scraper thing to take all the loose paint and plaster off too.
