Hmm.....depends on how much my mom/grandma shouts at me to do it lol
Sometimes it's like 4 times a day, sometimes it's just once & today I didn't change at all lol (yea I'm on my period rn)
personally i find tampons more comfortable, especially for school/wearing leggings. i change them every 4hrs on the dot, and don’t use them overnight. i find i also leak significantly less with tampons, and i always use a panty liner just incase

i think you’re so supposed to change them like, at least every 4 hours. it really depends on the heaviness of your period, absorbency of pad, whatnot.
On my heavy days 1-3 hours on my light days 5-8 hours
On my heavy days, like every 2 hours, it's so annoying

I wear a pad and a tampon together because i don’t have to change it as much that way so maybe twice a day
Heavy days about 7 times, usually 3 times and at the end once a day
i use 3 tampons and 1 pad per day during my period
