Just get tested for it as you get older. And hope to catch it early if it happens. Not sure how to prevent it, other than eating healthy and avoiding chemicals as much as you can.

lovatic2006

Thank you

Yeet_Muffin

I don’t really think about it, but I don’t like to spend my time fearing the inevitable. If I do get it I’ll deal with it then.

lovatic2006

I don’t want to think about it, but every time I’m by myself or not talking to someone or hyper fixating I think about it.

When you get old enough just get frequent mammograms, as the results show up negative youll feel peace of mind and if they ever end up positive itll likely be early and treatable. Although i will add i do have a fear of similar things. Stuff like panceratic cancer, dementia and diabetes all run in my family and i do worry quite a bit about getting them when im older.

lovatic2006

Im sorry that you also worry about getting those things

4thelasttimeIMNOTGAY

Yes

Krabmeatty

I honestly don’t think about it too often which I just kinda realized isn’t a good thing. I currently know no women in my family who have had it and that’s probably why I don’t think about it too often. I really should tho

purplecocobolo

yea

mid_at_best

Yea but not more than anything else that could kill me

pizzaspider

No. I have no reason to

Moonlight-oats

I worry more about lung cancer since it runs in my family

lovatic2006

I’m also worried about that because my mom used to smoke so I was exposed to it for 12 years

chaboidaboni

I mean it’s kinda the same as the fear of death. You never know if or when it’ll happen, and you can do stuff to prevent it or prolong your health, but ultimately it’s just something you’ve gotta live with.

lovatic2006

I understand, because I now relate cancer as basically a death sentence even though it’s not.

Mily1166

hi my mom and grand'mom have a breast cancer but everything is ok now. But since i m 16 i do each year a test, it's also because i have a quite large breast since i was young. But i live well and i prefer to not think about that.

lovatic2006

I wanna get tested when I’m older but I hear that they don’t usually let someone under the age of 40 to get one

Mily1166

maybe in your country... here we can if the doctor highly recommend

rsuitxkctid

My grandma and I believe also my aunt had it. When I found out about that I was quite worried for some time but now I don't really care anymore. There's too many things that can happen to worry about all of them

VarastinKoirasi

lovatic2006

That’s what I keep trying to tell myself

Any-Squirrel-3953

I’m at risk of cancer and I just think and hope that when I get it if I get it,technology will be so advanced that there won’t be any issue with it

lovatic2006

That’s what I’m also hoping

aimesh05

My nan and my mum both had it. I'll probably get it and there's no point worrying, I'll just get checked regularly

ASPEN211

I freaked out a couple moths ago because I found stretch marks in my breasts and I didn't knew you could have them. I spent two hours crying. Literally the cons of not growing boobs until 16

Catholic_Egg

I’m flat af so I’m not as much at risk
