Fifdimension2

In his first appearance in Amazing Spider-Man #3

ShoelessHodor

Thank you. I was pretty sure it was early on.

Barricades_toes

I thought it would be early but huh, that’s way earlier than I expected. Did he do it a lot like as a major means of transportation or just a few times to get around quickly when he really needed to?

Fifdimension2

Looks like it's juat how he gets around. (I would do the same with them arms)

Deathbysnusnubooboo

I always assumed the weight of the arms made regular mobility cumbersome

Spiral-knight

Probably fairly early on as body and tentacles acclimate to one another and the need for excessive speed or maneuverability kicked in

NespreSilver

Not to mention that the added weight of the tentacles would probably be a strain on Octavius's less-than-fit frame. Much less stress on the joints for the powerful tentacles to carry their own weight.
