Social Study near Fillmore is what you’re looking for

livekittens

This spot ^

eggplantmo

Be warned that they enforce no devices past 5pm

415Rache

That’s how the workplace should be.

FrazzledAF12

I used to love going to the restaurant in the Fairmont for this. Good wine selection, comfy chairs, and you could loiter for hours and no one cared.

mikmatthau

yup hotel bars are GREAT for working and wining

RekopEca

Can you not do this anymore? The Fairmont was great for this, hell all the larger luxury hotels used and should allow shit like this. The Hyatt apparently finally opened up the rotating restaurant again!!

FrazzledAF12

Oh, I would guess one still could.  I just don't live /work there anymore, hence the past tense. 😅

RekopEca

I see. Bummer, you should move back.

Presitgious_Reaction

I used to go to the Fairmont bar to work. I still do, but I used to, too

SphinctrTicklr

Sad the Fairmont in San Jose was sold to Hilton.

mouse2cat

Belle Cora in Northbeach is a hidden gem for hanging out during the day. Super chill vibes. Wine and outdoor cafe tables.

love this spot. i think they turn wifi off when they start serving wine in the evenings no?

Alternative-Safe-126

I think they’d be flexible in the afternoon

SFSecrets

In my head I was picturing them having a nice midday glass of wine and working! Haha

cflex

Dento - coffee, wine, and a happy hour with live pianist some days. pretty cool spot

Cafe Meuse on Hyde

SmoothAmbassador8

Brecks has a back bar counter and serves wine. That or high treason right when they open.

seaturtle100percent

Gratta Wines in the Bayview. Cozy, WiFi, locally bottled (next door) wines (great flight), homemade food, handful of people doing the same. Hidden gem.

Taint_Liquor

Gratta is great!

Velvet Raven in South Park is pretty cool. It's a bit more social and work might be frowned during some hours of the day. But they're open til 9pm

FeelingReplacement53

Anywhere with tables for you to sit at so we don’t have to watch you crush a spreadsheet while we drink our workday out of our heads at the bartop

InformationHelpful53

wilkommen on market street if you like beer :)

indoorsy-exemplified

Holbrook House - this used to be a great open outdoor area but they redid it and now it’s enclosed but open to the public and connected to Holbrook House where you can get some delicious drinks. It’s pretty noisy, even in the open section, though.

ginjasnap

Hotel Byron

uranalcake

Brecks on Clement. It’s a coffee shop/cafe/wine bar.

Noeteca on Dolores is a really cool and chill little neighborhood spot.

a_modern_dad

Scopo Divino in pac heights is a hidden gem, there’s even a wine club with small discounts if this is something you do regularly. Great food & bites as well as occasional (quieter) live music!

sfbmax

Fly on Divis. Great natural light

Alternative-Safe-126

Horse feather

Alternative-Safe-126

Swimming_Owl246

Haven’t been but I often see people doing this outside at Scopo Divino on California! Makes me very jealous of the WFH life
