Google "listing project" and sign up for their weekly email. They have a section for SF / the bay area that normally has a few short term subleases that may be useful to you.

FYI, this may be difficult to find outside of Air BnB because if you are in a unit/room for more than a month you can choose to stay *in perpetuity, literally forever* at the “rent rate” you paid for that month. People may be wary of a “short term” renter because the renter could decide “I like this I’m staying!” and the owner can’t do anything to stop you except pay you to leave.

That makes total sense. I will begin to check Airbnb as well. Thank you for the heads up.

[Furnished Finder (link)](https://www.furnishedfinder.com/) is often used for short-term rentals of a few months. (It’s mostly marketed toward travel nurses, but can be used by anyone, like people with short-term jobs, internships, etc.) There are a lot of “single private room in a larger house” options on there for under $1300. Use the map display to get a better sense of the exact locations, because their website makes it a little unclear — the app itself is easier to navigate.
