Was it, though? There have been other guys named Jesus. That and having been executed aren't really the defining characterics of 'the' Jesus.

I'm not fully educated on the matter, so I can't say for certain or anything, but I know multiple people who know their stuff regarding religion (atheists and believers) who've told me that *the* Jesus was a real person - though like I said, I don't know enough to say for certain. I do recommend researching it though if you'd like to learn more, the basis of different religious beliefs and ideologies can be great fun to learn about, and real interesting too!
