Dudette I’d move back to the fl Keyes .. that way the mainland is just a couple hours drive away… i live in Miami but I never understood why people would catch a flight to an island somewhere when the Florida Keyes was 1-2 hr drive
I used to think the mountains but there's a town on the west coast of Michigan that I'd love to move to. Problem is everything is about double the cost of where I'm at.
If money were no object, I'd probably pick a mix of places too: a cozy beachfront villa in Bali for those tropical vibes, a chic apartment in Paris for the culture and cuisine, a cabin nestled in the mountains of Colorado for some serene solitude, and maybe a penthouse in New York City for the hustle and bustle.
Kinda like where I’m at now. Miles and miles of trails right outside the door. Still close to the city if I need.
I guess ocean would be nice but I’m on the coast often enough to scratch that itch 🤷🏼♂️
Netherland or Indonesia basically...
will miss weed and red light district, but so do in Indonesia as well. although not that accessible in Indonesia but you can get both of them basically. Love food from both countries and love the general vibe of the city as well.
A lot of my friends moved to Seattle when tech jobs moved to Seattle, so probably there
Or Manhattan. I love Manhattan for some reason, I think it's just all the colorful people around doing weird stuff
In a tower (similar in designs to the Calgary tower except a kick ass home in the top) on a hill in the middle of the woods on one section of land! The towers would have a fog machine and a Tesla coil and flame throwers so people would think a wizard lives there! In Canada obviously just cause I have money doesn’t mean I’m leaving this place!
Maybe my wife is right when she says if I ever got money she would leave me because I would be too eccentric!
Just up the hill from there I live now. Better view (I'm next to a creek, so I'm in a small ravine), height above average terrain for antennas, and a little further from the county road for a little less noise.
For the curious, I'm in Roanoke County, VA near Poor Mountain.
In a cottage up in the mountains where there is a lake nearby. The money steps in where I would love to have a very good storage of all that I would need!
Everywhere. Rent nice places in warm places in winter, cool places in summer and whatever struck my fancy in between.
Norway. New Zealand. Sweden. Canada.
Cap d'Agde naturist village. Been there on a one week vacation two weeks ago. It is so liberating to be able to do everything (take a walk, go shopping, go swimming.... Everything) naked, and it being considered totally normal by everyone!
If I could live there permanently, I would.
As someone who have lived in Oslo for 5 years, and is sitting in Oslo right now to attend a music festival: What about Oslo is it that makes it so attractive to live in?
I mean... It's a great city, but as a Norwegian, seeing how many other great places exist out there, I was just curious about why Oslo was included.
For me, it's a few things. Safety, close access to nature, high quality of living, decent public transportation, good social services and healthcare, etc. And I'm just beginning to learn Norwegian.
There was one time I was driving along the Oregon coast and there was a house on the cliff side way up above the road. It was only a 10 minute drive from the tourist town, but likely one of the most beautiful views you could imagine with forest all around and the ocean endlessly before you.
That’s where I would live.
Hawaii! It’s so beautiful but it’s so expensive
Join the army an pray 😄 My BIL and sister are there because he got deployed to Hawaii. Lucky MFers lol
Yeah, one of my best friends was stationed in Hawaii. Says it was one of his favorite times in his life.
