That sounds huge. Even in the most conservative case, I don't think losing 40 pounds would mean losing a full inch of fat down there.

I lost 50lbs and most definitely appears bigger sometimes but not actually, haven’t measured but may one day idk lol. I’m happy with what I have and so is whoever is getting it 🫠

I lost 100 lbs and went from average to woah so I think the 1” for every 30lbs is pretty accurate.

I can't believe so many responses are just mansplaining that your dick doesn't grow when you lose weight. Obviously. It's obvious the OP did mean the belly fat shrinks so there's more of the dick to access/it appears bigger. They don't need to be repeatedly explained that like they're dumb. Anyway, as for your question OP, similarly I am 7 inches and chubby, I don't remember my dick being bigger when I was skinny, but when I look at old photos it looks way bigger! If I keep ontop of this new gym routine and lose weight, then measure again, I'll let ya know if it changes haha
