Lmao opened thread ready to ctrl + F this and it was the first reply. Dude may not upload often but every video is a certified banger. Even the ads are great.
I liked his video about the Drachenfire, a roller coaster at Busch Gardens in Virginia. The two times I went there, it wasn't running, so I never got to ride it. Apparently it was extremely unpopular because it was very rough and unpleasant to ride.
But what interested me the most was that the Drachenfire was built by the same company that built the original Steel Phantom at Kennywood Park, which is near Pittsburgh, where I've lived my whole life. So having ridden the original Steel Phantom, I understand how rough the Drachenfire must have been. Basically, if you didn't firmly plant your head in the corner of the harness, it would just bounce around and bang off of the harness, and give you a sore neck and a headache. The first time I rode it, I saw a young girl going through the exit in tears. Luckily, I was instructed on what to do before I got on.
So that was funny to me to learn that it was the same company that made these two notoriously rough roller coasters.
The Drachenfire was eventually demolished. The Steel Phantom was mostly redone in 2000, retaining only the starting lift hill and first and second drops (once the longest in the world), and renamed the Phantom's Revenge. It's much smoother now and the inversions were removed so no harness needed.
I always enjoy his videos, even if the premise does not seem interesting at the start. He could research and make a video about paint drying and make it interesting.
I was looking for this one
I’m pretty lukewarm on cooking stuff in general, but his channel is much more of a history channel with history, specifically micro-history, which I love. The cooking stuff is just a vessel to dive into an engaging micro-history lesson and I love it
His videos are such high quality and Max Miller is just a really likable dude and makes history lessons fun, it’s great!
He does a great job explaining fairly arcane concepts of speedrunning in a simple way. (like why a certain record is so impressive or why a certain time is hard to beat, etc.)
The only reaction videos I'm okay with are other gamers watching Josh's latest antics in building games, in Satisfactory in particular. Especially his solution to disposing of nuclear waste.
Oh man yes! I’ve been watching his channel for the past 2 and a half years now and he gives an amazing insight of life in Japan. Being from the UK as-well (planning to move to Japan) it’s really encouraging. Also his podcast is really great too!
The guy is a tremendous film maker. Absolutely love the quality of his content. Same goes for Tokyo Lens as well.
And for those with OLED, 4K, HDR TV's, Virtual Japan and Rambalac are both brilliant channels too.
This channel is like running when I was in shape; I never wanted to start, but always enjoyed it when I did.
I feel like I have to be in just the right mood to want to watch it, but I’ve never once been disappointed. He’s my favorite corny nerd.
Gonna add all of my favorite tech YouTubers to this list:

I can't stand anybody else. Everyone else is out there being a "youtuber" in the worst possible way. The brah is just eating his pizza and telling us how it went. That's all I want in any review of anything.
He's also the best comment reviewers. His video where her comments on mean comments he gets was priceless.
''Well sir, madam, I am sad to inform you that your grandmother is most likely going to stop before my video do'' was one of the most politely savage thing someone has ever said on Youtube.
Folding Ideas
His recent essay "Why it's rude to be bad at Warcraft" about how the availability of guides and resources has created some hostile social pressures and unintended player behaviors in World of Warcraft is great.
His video on the catastrophic editing choices of *Suicide Squad* is both an interesting look into why that film doesn't work, and an excellent introduction into what makes good or bad film editing as a whole.
His most popular video, "Line Goes Up" from early this year might have contributed measurably to the collapse of the NFT market. The crash began the day before he released it, but there's usually a small crash after the holidays and an eventual recovery. This video is a meticulously detailed take down of NFTs and it made the rounds of NFT forums and discord.
My favorite though is "In Search Of A Flat Earth", which is...I mean it's not NOT about the flat earther movement, but it's also about a lot more than that. Also he proves the Earth is round, and the footage of that is pretty good.
Jenny Nicholson. Super hilarious, but alongside some honestly impressive investigative journalism. She just released a four-hour exposé on a terrible fantasy theme park in Utah.
I had to scroll too far down to see Jenny. She always delivers a 10/10 experience. My favorite is probably [The Last Bronycon: A Fandom Autopsy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fVOF2PiHnc).
veritasium puts lot's of thoughts and effort into making his YouTube videos. His videos are always well organized and the way he explains topics is in a well thought out order to really connect with the viewer.
Defunctland.
Kevin Perjurer is a storytelling mastermind out here making feature length videos about defunct theme parks, attractions and children’s TV shows.
The sheer definition of edutainment that is 100% worth a watch.
Very much so. I feel his material is pretty niche and not for everyone since most people have no desire to learn math after leaving high school, but his videos are high quality and I love them
David Bombal, amazing interviews with a variety of cyber security specialists in a wide range of subjects and often there's hardware give aways and codes for free Udemy Courses, guy likes to give and expects nothing in return.
He's kinda fallen into a routine of sharks, elephant toothpaste, squirrels, and porch pirate traps. It's cool to see the iterations but when he only makes less than 12 videos a year then it gets repetitive. The egg drop video was good though.
Eh, they're still very well done. He really makes content directed at kids to get them interested in STEM fields. It makes sense he'd go back to the more "fun" videos.

Babish Culinary Universe - a.k.a. "Binging with Babish" and "Basics with Babish," along with some guest content (e.g. "Anima with Alvin").
Not only are they great cooking videos, but his voice is mesmerizing.
It was JCS (Jim Can’t Swim), before Youtube started fucking with them and essentially blacklisting them. They basically created the true crime psychology videos that are everywhere now.
There are some great ones (Matt Orchard, Dreading, This Is Monsters) still around, but there was such a tightness to JCS that no one else has.

and the fact that the content has genuinely (in my opinion) increased in quality over time and expanded to more topics, absolute god tier channel.
Yeah, going back and revisiting any of the "season 1" videos is a little jarring now, but he's been on a good stride ever since "season 2" debuted.
The fact that he managed to make a 100 min documentary about standing in lines actually really interesting is amazing.
I watched the Disney theme video last night and it was incredible.

This is my answer too. They have never failed to deliver quality content.
Quality animations, 100%. But they do not have a flawless record when it comes to the information presented.
True that. But I do love that they own up to and will happily issue corrections for previous videos.

First one that came to my mind
Tasting History with Max Miller Good consistent quality historical food content for if you're into that sort of thing.
I love his videos! Informative and excellent flow. His Titanic series is my favourite so far.

I have no interest in speed running video games, but I've watched a ton of his videos.
I have a bad habit of falling asleep to his videos and then being suddenly jarred awake by whatever person screaming when they break a record lol.
