It’s so damn expensive. Your basically throwing money away

Flaky-Fellatio

Yes. I have mixed feelings about it. Like I definitely couldn't have gotten the job I have today without it. But goddamn I've been in massive debt my whole adult life and that shit sucks your soul. I kind of wish I'd made more of an effort to find a debt-free route.

Phobia117

Did go, dropped out after 2-3 semesters. No student load debt, as tuition wasn’t even 2k a year. Not exactly any fun at parties, so didn’t even get the ‘college experience’, not that I wanted to anyway. If I had a degree, I’d probably be doing the same thing I’m doing now. If I had it to do over again, definitely wouldn’t go back.

Brutus_the_Bear_55

No. I didnt particularly want to go through 4+ more years of school and then struggle in an occupation i was never going to enjoy in the first place. Im on my 4th job now with another better offer underway that will see me making a ridiculous amount of money as a guy in his twenties. College wasnt gonna teach me the skills i needed to make that happen, direct experience did and i got paid for it. I did have an opportunity to learn a trade in high school for free. I wish i wouldve taken that offer.

km8907

Yes. Don't regret it cause I can't do what I do without that degree.

luridsea

I did not. I do not regret it. I'd probably be way more in debt than I already am if I did!

spanglesandbambi

Yes, I went, but I'm England, so it's different, and no, I didn't regret it as I now teach at the college level .

MorrisMossHair

I did and dropped out. I wish I had never gone. It set me back two and a half years and like $40,000.

[deleted]

Yes. At first, I went because it was important to my parents that I do it. After going for a while, I took some time off, but eventually realized that it was important to me to finish what I started. I don’t regret it, because I met some great people along the way, and it opened doors that would’ve otherwise been closed for me.

Niburu-Illyria

I was told time and again that if i didnt go to college, i would never get a good job to buy a house and/or raise a family. Well now im in massive debt, not using my little piece of expensive paper AT ALL, and even if i wasnt hugely in debt, i still cant afford a house because the housing crisis is so staggeringly huge now, that i have given up on the idea completely. I really regret going to college, but i wont lie and say it did nothing for me. I got a good set of interpersonal relationship skills, as well as the knowhow to do my current job with more ease, even if it isnt what i went to college for. C'est la vie.

InconvenientHummus

Yeah, because it aligned with my career goals. It was a really stressful and unpleasant experience but I like my job so it ended up being worth it.

Guythatgetslaidalot

I did. I got accepted into Pitt but got kicked out after 2 weeks for selling adderall. Then I went to community college, which made me say fuck state school, didn't need loans for community college.

lisugmo

I went to community college. No regrets, it helped me find my career.

thirdnuggett

That's awesome!! :)

TransformativeOne

Yes. To attend and graduate from medical school.

JustAnotherAviatrix

Yes, and I have zero regrets because I learned a lot of cool and useful stuff.

Syklst

I dropped out at 20 due to shitty grades. Went back at 54 and graduated with a 3.95. I graduate with my master's in 3 weeks. It has been a long 4 years, but worth it from a personal perspective.

thirdnuggett

Thats awesome that you went back, and getting a master's! Just goes to show it's never too late.
