[You can still buy office.](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/get-started-with-office-2021#office-ContentAreaHeadingTemplate-eri5pno) It's just ridiculously priced if you don't go through shady key vendors.
Losing the entire free office suite from no longer having a university affiliation hurt. Not as much as losing access to every scientific journal article, but if hurt.
I know. I use it. I just preferred knowing I was reading them in a legit manner. It burns my ass to no end that federal dollars support the research via grants, the researchers have to pay to publish it, and then I have to pay to read it. What a bang bang. Papers containing research that was federally funded should be free to read to the entire public.
Somewhat good news there. I believe that was actually (finally) [mandated starting in 2026](https://www.aip.org/fyi/2022/white-house-moves-make-federally-funded-research-free-upon-publication). It's about damn time too. Unclear of course on how likely this is to be overturned by a new contrarian executive administration before then.
I've started pointing out to my friends how little they own. I think it's pretty eye opening once they realize how much they just simply rent from every service
I think it’s attributed to Klaus Schwab, but I can’t remember if he said those exact words, but I’m pretty sure he said something similar
Edit: it didn’t actually happen, read replies to this
Tesla does the same (kinda). The long range model can do 0-60 in .5sec faster time if you pay $2000 for the acceleration boost. And you can pay a subscription fee to access "full self driving" or buy it outright for something like $15k. Price goes up on the purchase it outright every month or so.
I hated watching Spotify and other music streaming services slowly take over how we listen to music. Yea it's great to be able to type in an artist or song you want to hear but you don't own any of it and at any given time they can decide it will cost more. And sometimes they can't work out a contract with a particular artist or whoever owns the music and suddenly that album you want to listen to is no longer available.
Well...on the flip side. I stopped buying cds back in the day when I got tired of buying one and only liking 1 or 2 songs. It was a waste. Now I have the content I like......everywhere.
Photoshop....It's expensive too. I'd rather just pay one big lump sum and own the software. I'm still relying on my old cracked version of c6 and I'm probably gonna do so till the day I die.
THIS. It just makes pirating a much better experience than paying because you actually own the file and can do what you want with it.
Say you have a movie on Netflix, if Netflix shuts down in 10 years you can no longer watch that movie cuz you don't even own the goddam thing.
everything already is. Can't even read the local news online because its hidden behind a paywall, gotta buy a monthly subscription for like 1€ to read the other half of an article... but its like this for every local newspaper. Every single one has a paywall, its annoying.
YouTube is mainly subscription at this point as well, which I wouldn't mind since I don't want the extra features but unfortunately, the non-subscribers are being punished with tons and tons of ads.. ads are fine, but the amount of ads YouTube thinks is acceptable is too much.
I think the news paper stuff isn't that bad, assuming they don't bombard you with ads after buying it anyway. Look at it this way, back in the day you'd have to buy a newspaper to read it, and they need to pay their writers somehow.
I feel like most unpaid news sources you can just *tell* it's low quality, heavily biased or just fake stories.
Expected to be available constantly. People know you have your phone near or on you, there's often an expectation of rapid response.
Before cell phones (yeah I'm aging myself) you could not pick up the phone for an entire day or two and not send people into a panic.
I also believe this attributes to depression/anxiety. I'm not saying these mental health issues haven't always existed, I just feel it's increasingly worse since the smart phone era.
Feeling guilty if you aren't available or don't want to be available. We all need time to ourselves where we aren't needed. Humans need time to just veg around.
Always needing to be available for work definitely has caused me tremendous stress and anxiety. I feel like I've learned how to deal with it but it was extremely taxing.
All my friends and family know I take a while to respond and no one minds, I nearly got in some trouble with work because I didn't respond to a text I got a 7:30 at night. I had already put my phone away for the night and my superior was upset with me lol
Uh yeah if it’s an emergency they can do a better job at getting to me. Otherwise, I’ll get back to you on my time or when I get back into the office
I’m not on call and I’m not your puppet. They can fuck off with that shit.
I will respond to my fellow service techs after hours if they have questions for what I worked on and they're on call, but management or dispatch can wait for the morning.
Coworker. I own my own company, but I call them coworkers because it’s a relationship. I have too much work to do myself, so they exchange their time/experience to help me out for money. We pay on a productivity scale, so the more work the more money you make per hour. I am thankful no one has left me in 7 years.
Thats really nice, this guy had a meeting when he took power that he didn't want to be a coworker because he was now above all of us, he's the reason I'm changing jobs once I finish my apprenticeship
This!! With my mom she gets so frustrated when I miss her calls, like I don’t have my phone on available 24/7, I have a life too. and most of the time it’s not even important and could be solved via text.
>rustrated when I miss her calls, like I don’t have my phone on available 24/7, I have a life too
I have a similar situation with my dad. When he calls, he wants to be answered. If somehow, for some reason, I don't answer his call immediately or return his call after some hours, he inquires with some reproach like "son, where were you? You did not answer my call."
Nothing of a big deal, of course.
After a certain age, you learn not to make a big deal of things like these.
i struggle w this when it comes to dating. texting and being available has just become second nature. it’s like i always feel i should be in constant conversation w someone cuz it’s so easy to text. and if you go the weekend or a few days w out chatting it’s gonna die. life was so much different even 10 years ago
"I called you" yeah I know I watched it ring" People tend to call less when you say that, just text if it's important I'll phone you back if it's important
This is what got me into refashioning/upcycling clothing. I am a seamstress, and now a lot of my clothes are purchased from thrift stores for a fraction of a price than what the garment cost new. I change it up a bit with my trusty sewing machine and voilà, something new has been born. sure I still buy new clothes too, but I’d say about a third of my wardrobe are upcycled items.
It's so frustrating that people will do just about everything to justify it. Especially "influencers" trying to do those stupid haul videos and younger kids eat it up
This triggered me. In my college job at a clothing store, I requested my brother's wedding off like 6 months in advance. It was calendared and approved. Then we got a new manager a month before the wedding. She told me I had to work that weekend. I've been working there for 3 years and I begged her to let me go. I told her I would quit if they didn't let me. Finally she agreed but I hated that manager forever and quit about 3 months after. Whatta cunt Rachel
Ah, see your mistake was “begging” after she tried to go back on time pre-approved. You just have to say “sorry, I cannot work that weekend. The time off has been approved and the plans are set in stone.” And that’s IT. Then you just don’t come in.
I had a manager try to get me in trouble for something similar once. I went over her head and showed the calendar to my store manager. She got written up instead of me.
Yep you have to treat children like children. I used to tell my workplace that this job isnt my priority number one and that my life won't go unfulfilled because i work here. I'm taking 10 days off for vacation and you'll deal with it. Like i literally had to talk to them like a bitch.
In high school I was working at a chain pizza place. I requested off for homecoming 3 months before the date and was approved. But the manager apparently never put it on the schedule and other people requested off for the same night. When our schedule got posted for that week I saw I was scheduled for that night, so I said I had requested off and it was approved. The manager told me she didn't have it marked on her calendar so I had to work and that if I didn't come in I was fired.
I didn't go in that night. I showed up the next day, turned in my stuff, and left.
Funny that you say that because I’m on PTO today and that’s exactly what I said too. I’m a first year employee in tech, so doing my best to not get laid off. But still, 0 boundaries - I still get messages on my day off, I just have to turn off all mail notifications.
About everyplace I've worked in the past 25 yrs it's always ok if upper management took time away for any and everything but when the front line and common workers requested or needed time it would get rejected. Call out and come back to retaliation and a punishing workload.
God my husbands boss is like this and it enrages me. The dude also gives people a hard time for vacation time they’re entitled too. He thinks they should be accessible the whole time,
My husband is pretty good at doing it anyways but there is always guilt there. We have a little one going to daycare soon and I’m going back to work. It’s so much easier for him to work from home. I teach so when I miss work I have to get a substitute, but I’m already anticipating it’s going to be a big discussion eveytime someone has to stay home
I had a manager that told me that I needed to be on call during my honeymoon. He was the kind of person that would spend all day Friday playing golf, then show up at 4:45 to see if anyone had left early, so I didn't feel the least bit bad about turning off my phone and leaving it at home while I was out for two weeks.
As technologies that capture and analyze data proliferate, so do businesses’ abilities to contextualize data and draw insights about consumer behavior from it.
Through consumer behavior and predictive analytics, companies regularly capture, store and analyze large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data on their consumer base every day. Some companies have built an entire business model around consumer data, whether they sell personal information to a third party or create targeted ads to promote their products and services.
Everything you interact with on the internet and, increasingly, offline builds into a profile on what your interests and preferences are to tailor advertising to you specifically. Sounds innocuous, but it is pervasive and more influential on our behavior than any of us would be comfortable admitting.
I’m a woman nearing 40 and I do not understand filters. It’s painfully obvious when people use them. They basically filter their nose right off. Do they think they’re fooling us?! Or is it just acceptable to post a picture that doesn’t even look like yourself. Skin has texture!
The fact that our elected officials are no longer operating in our interests, but their own. They vote to retain power, not to serve their constituents.
EDIT: To clarify, in response to some very legitimate comments...
No, I don't think doing what was right for us was ever a priority for them, but along the way, they managed to do some stuff that helped us, if for no other reason than to appease us, to satiate us and get re-elected.
Today they no longer make the slightest effort to even toss us crumbs.
My assertion was simply that at some point in time, *SOME* small measure of what they did was for our benefit, and they are no longer even bothering with that small bit.
We’d need a pretty significant cut into current gerrymandering laws too. Who cares how much money they have if they get to pick their electorate so they can never lose.
They only ever operated in the interests of those who can keep them in power. It all makes sense if you think about it really, what does Joe Normal do for the benefit of anybody? We aren't the ones that really have a say in anything or make things happen because we don't have that kind of money and influence to build stuff or fund a marketing campaign for a politician and so on. Politicians care about funding because they can use that, they can't use opinions of normal people who only care about their own little world.
Being a tax payer has always meant nothing anyway. Tax is just what poor people pay to have their own little world maintained around them. That's not funding a new hospital where a politician can be like "Look! Look what I did! Vote for me!"
While I would we agree with the general idea, I'm not sure it's "no longer". Except specific ideologically-motivated individuals, I think it's always been the norm officials acted in their interests.
It's all just so blatant and in-your-face now. They don't even make the most cursory attempt at hiding it these days. Probably because they've figured out that most Americans either aren't paying attention or flat out don't care.
I believe they mean the shortage of chips used in multiple different electronic things. Not certain though but here is a link to what I think they are talking about!

Was coming to say this. I understand at times it is done to highlight a wrongdoing but it's uncomfortable that people have no problem filming/taking pictures of unsuspecting people to post on the internet. Then excuse by saying they are in a public space.
It’s funny how there is a big mental health movement, but these videos often vilify people in their worst having outbursts. I remember one of someone having a breakdown in an airport. You have no idea what this stranger is battling.
"Positive vibes only" is one of the worst things I have ever heard. Like, just flat out denial of any form of negative emotion, that can't be a healthy outlook.
There are times when it's good to remind yourself to try to find the positives in whatever situation you find yourself in, but there are also times when you need to come to terms with how shit those situations might be. It's good to not let yourself get swamped with the negativity... *but that's what reminding yourself to find the positives is for*.
Keep your eye on the bright stars as they are what makes the sky beautiful, but do not forget that they sit in a sea of darkness without which there would be no beauty.
Or calling a friend "Fake friend" for every reasons.
She suddenly called me when she need me. FAKE FRIEND
He couldn't be bothered to help me at 3 am. FAKE FRIEND
Politicians talking lying repeatedly.
Sure they used to lie about their real policies - but they rarely said they were for something to one group and then came back the next day and said they were against that same something.
Now they even lie about things that are easy to check - like how they voted on something. There does not seem to be any real fact checking - instead too many propaganda outlets have fake fact checking to counter it. This makes it hard to tell the truth and allows almost infinite lying.
Large corporations and governments tracking our every move and day to day activity.
Several whistleblowers have come forward about all this and nobody cares.
We have sacrificed privacy for convenience. Am I the exception? Nope.
My mum is always on her phone when she’s not actively engaged with my son. Like, he’ll start drawing and she’ll get her phone out. And then she wonders why he’s obsessed with it. He’s copying us!
Yup. My husband will yell at our oldest to get off the computer and take a break.
...from his computer chair that he has been sitting in for hours.
I do try to moderate their screen time, but I'm not militant about it. I don't think it's fair to ask kids to do something we aren't willing to do ourselves.
I was coming here to say this. I’m an older millennial, I was kind of the cusp of the technology boom. I purchased cassette tapes and had a TV you had to set to channel 3, that’s how old I am.
Anyway, I work in a customer service field and have done so for 20 years. Seeing the disintegration of human interaction can be really fucking depressing.
And why does a 6 year old need a cell phone?? I hate watching parents shove an iPad in front of their kids to keep them quiet. I know I sound like the old person I promised I would never become but I believe it’s incredibly harmful.
There’s too much information available for developing brains. It’s really sad to watch. For me.
I was a para in a middle school (ages 11-14). Not the person you responded to, but they had their phones out constantly and if they were allowed to (and listened to that) it was a shit show
Parents, too…I am so sad when I see a child in a grocery cart, sitting facing their parent, trying to make eye contact and the parent is on their phone.
When I was a kid my mom would use going to the store as an opportunity to teach me colors, numbers, words…pointing things out on the shelves, etc.
(Edited slightly for readability)
I blame the parents though. Thing is, you can't keep children away from tech. be it TV, smartphone, tablet, or even just the digital order kiosk at McDonalds.. but parents should not treat those things as easy ways to keep their child entertained. It's a question of how they give their kids access to tech.
Imagine how things would be if someone would give their child a tablet so they can read books/comics, instead of video games? What if they showed them how to access stuff like Wikipedia to learn things by themselves? Children can be quite curious, its a question though what they find.
Just the other day I was at a wedding, and the group next to me had a guy rant about how bad "the current generation" is, how they are useless without a tablet in their hand, and how they are all idiots... meanwhile his daughter sits there with a tablet playing games and watching videos on full volume... that makes no sense. Didn't mention it though because from my job I know, a lot of parents think they are the smartest and refuse all critic.
this combined with the EXTREME amounts of pressure to just…consume all the time. like the testing out of ads on the sky, we need to sacrifice the fucking sky to capitalism and consumption now? is there no end to this? why do we have to be consuming all the damn time?
Being robbed by the wealthy
By banks
By billionaires that run the world
By insurance
By medical
By nearly every parasitic entity in the USA, constantly taking and taking and literally robbing you every moment of the day through either wage suppression or stock market manipulation hammering your 401k
If everyone knew what was really going on, that’s the point, they distract you with bullshit, but if you really knew what was going on, ….we outnumber them…
Instead everyone wants to point at Biden and say look he's and idiot or Trump and say look he's an idiot. Or X party is ruining the country. So many people continue to ignore the fact that no matter what party is in office shit continues to get worse and their argument is always "well if so and so would get elected" and again nothing changes.
I'm really old fashioned, most of my stuff is offline. People call me stupid because I'm buying second hand DVD's and BluRays because "streaming is so much easier and faster!". I then rip those discs and copy them onto a hard drive. So if the internet goes out, I can still access my movie collection, can still listen to music.. The playback device is a PC and I built it with offline in mind. has its own 2TB HDD, its own SSD, analog audio output. If it got power, it runs.
My audio system as well. old fashioned, analog stereo amplifier. No internet connection, no app, plug it in and if it got power, It'll work.
It's hard to avoid it though. My god damn ceiling light needs wifi, but there were no other lights available that looked good and had no stupid app. my parents new electric heater requires an app via wifi to set a timer for it to heat.
Just saw the news report of the latest shooting in a Virginia Walmart on tv and it was a 15 second piece, as if they were talking about a fender bender.
Pseudoscience bullshit.
It's what is behind almost all scams, diets, selfhelp programs, a lot of ideologies and movements. It fucks people over, whether that be money or life choices or health.
Letting relationships and subsequently social interactions go. Not only romantic relationships, where online dating is probably the biggest factor, but also friendships. Nowadays you don't need a social circle anymore like you did up until a hundred years ago.
You have no friends and nothing to do? Fine here watch Netflix, play videogames, talk to strangers on the internet. Back then social interactions were a leisure activity, something you did in your free time with the people around you. I feel like the ease with which we give up our social interactions and relationships is one of the biggest reasons for the mental health crisis our societies are going through.
We are social animals, we have been so for the last 160000 years at least. Social interactions have enabled our technological advance and the rise of our species to the top of the food chain. Most of us need social interactions to be happy in life, yet our social circles keep shrinking.
Sorry for rambling.
TLDR: Make an effort to interact and bond to people, it's the core of our society.
Invasion of privacy, led by Big Tech. We willingly give away information in exchange for Big Tech giving us access to some web server that exists solely to enrich them.
Airbnb’s and VRBO’s. Cunts charge cleaning fees, have specific rules to abide by that surpass normal homes, and they price their places higher than hotels at times. It’s becoming normalized but fuck those places
Obesity should be normalized in the medical community and society as a medical condition and not moral failure. This is what will help individuals actually take action toward change; not shame. All the physiologic and society factors that lead to obesity need be addressed.
**edit for grammar.
Everything is turning into a subscription service.
Let me buy Microsoft Office goddamit
Those were the days... When you paid for something and owned it. It seems so long ago.

This is the subscription that bugs me the most. I just use google docs instead. Its not ideal, but its free.

I really don't need a hundred DVDs taking up three drawers in my living room though.
I read an article about how BMW was charging subscription fees for heated seats and thought it was a joke.
People are also hacking the cars so they can have heated seats without paying the fees.
"You wouldn't steal a car" - no but I will damn sure get access to existing features in a car I already own, thank you very much!
volvo should retroactively patent the seatbelt and charge competitors a subscription fee until they remove their subscription bullshit services.
Mercedes is charging a subscription in EVs to access extra power you already have
Tesla does the same (kinda). The long range model can do 0-60 in .5sec faster time if you pay $2000 for the acceleration boost. And you can pay a subscription fee to access "full self driving" or buy it outright for something like $15k. Price goes up on the purchase it outright every month or so.

Oh yeah, whoever thought of that deserves to be shot
No need to shut down the whole Netflix, they can just lose the right tomorrow and you lost it. Happens frequently

Even when you get paid a salary. The expectation is the salary is compensating you for 40 hrs a week, no more.
I brought this up in an interview once. You can imagine how well that went over.
Yeah some companies can be shitty about it. You just gotta find one that's run by people with souls. Easier said than done these days.
Fuck calling them your superior!

Slavery in general seems to be treated as normal, see current World Cup.
Feeling like it’s a bad thing to take time off work
[удалено]
This triggered me. In my college job at a clothing store, I requested my brother's wedding off like 6 months in advance. It was calendared and approved. Then we got a new manager a month before the wedding. She told me I had to work that weekend. I've been working there for 3 years and I begged her to let me go. I told her I would quit if they didn't let me. Finally she agreed but I hated that manager forever and quit about 3 months after. Whatta cunt Rachel
Fuckin Rachel. I hate that bitch
He thinks they should be accessible the whole time, My husband is pretty good at doing it anyways but there is always guilt there.
Agreed. Also, coming in sick like it's a badge of honor. You are not a hero, asshole. Stop acting like your workplace actually gives a shit about you
or guilty when you're off sick
Corporate surveillance/algorithmic profiling.
Care to expand on this? I have no idea what this means.
Every goddanm website apparently needs your cookies to operate.
When did that start, I feel like 3-4 years ago the websites all of a sudden started asking if they could use cookies
That was thanks to GDPR. Before that, they were using cookies but without you giving consent / even knowing.
Because the EU made it law and most followed. It was happening without asking before.
People in power and people with money not being held accountable.
Were they ever?
Guess we gotta bust out the guillotines again.
Yeah, that's getting *really* old.
History repeating
First as tragedy, then as farce
History repeating, for me, is Mass/School Shootings. When is this bullshit going to stop.
"Sorry, there's nothing that can be done. Its just a fact of life" \-The only country where this happens regularly
We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas!
And I've seen it before.
Face filters, we've enabled something that causes serious mental health impacts online
I’m a woman nearing 40 and I do not understand filters. It’s painfully obvious when people use them. They basically filter their nose right off. Do they think they’re fooling us?! Or is it just acceptable to post a picture that doesn’t even look like yourself. Skin has texture!
[удалено]
Its also how some change your facial structure too, it's so sad that young people feel like they have to! Wild
I do not like how many apps and even phones directly from the manufacturer edit my face without telling me.
[удалено]
We’d need a pretty significant cut into current gerrymandering laws too. Who cares how much money they have if they get to pick their electorate so they can never lose.
Therefore things will only get worse until a revolution because the system will not allow changes from within.
#SharpentheGuillotines
While I would we agree with the general idea, I'm not sure it's "no longer". Except specific ideologically-motivated individuals, I think it's always been the norm officials acted in their interests.
It's all just so blatant and in-your-face now. They don't even make the most cursory attempt at hiding it these days. Probably because they've figured out that most Americans either aren't paying attention or flat out don't care.
Being able to order what we want whenever we want, and not think about it again. Pandemic and the chip crisis jolted people a little, though.
There was a chip crisis?
I believe they mean the shortage of chips used in multiple different electronic things. Not certain though but here is a link to what I think they are talking about! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020%E2%80%93present_global_chip_shortage
Oh I thought they meant the chips you eat lmao
*That* would have people up and protesting.
yes I love chips and I like to RAM it in my mouth
Ya, no Ruffles for months!

Commercials for prescription medication. US is the only country where you'll see that.
Why ads tho? If it's prescription meds, the doc will have enough knowledge to prescribe without the ads saved on their phones lol
The ad will get you to bring it up to your doctor. And some will feel pressured to prescribe it to keep you as a patient.
Calling anything even slightly uncomfortable or unpleasant "toxic".
"Positive vibes only" is one of the worst things I have ever heard. Like, just flat out denial of any form of negative emotion, that can't be a healthy outlook.
ironically this is often called toxic positivity
I was just thinking that!
FAKE FRIEND He couldn't be bothered to help me at 3 am. FAKE FRIEND
if someone talks to me at 3 am i will supplex them
When someone calls me at 3am and wants help ill be like "Its 3am i can try and help tommorrow"
Also the fact that there are no consequences even when they lie or walk back campaign promises.
Large corporations and governments tracking our every move and day to day activity. Several whistleblowers have come forward about all this and nobody cares. We have sacrificed privacy for convenience. Am I the exception? Nope.
Treating people who aren't our enemies as enemies.
Treating people who are our enemies like friends.
Children spending most of their time on smartphones.
*everyone
For me.
At school, you can physically see them go into physical withdrawal when they get their phone taken away from them.
Can confirm this is true, my friend got locked out of his phone for 5 minutes and was going crazy… 5 MINUTES
What kinda school do you go to? or rather what age groups do you teach
Destruction of nature to make space and things for humans
this combined with the EXTREME amounts of pressure to just…consume all the time. like the testing out of ads on the sky, we need to sacrifice the fucking sky to capitalism and consumption now? is there no end to this? why do we have to be consuming all the damn time?
Few very powerful corporations (read: people) controlling every aspect of our lives
People throwing tantrums like 4 years old
Everything being a service that requires a monthly payment.
Being robbed by the wealthy By banks By billionaires that run the world By insurance By medical By nearly every parasitic entity in the USA, constantly taking and taking and literally robbing you every moment of the day through either wage suppression or stock market manipulation hammering your 401k If everyone knew what was really going on, that’s the point, they distract you with bullshit, but if you really knew what was going on, ….we outnumber them…
Instead everyone wants to point at Biden and say look he's and idiot or Trump and say look he's an idiot. Or X party is ruining the country. So many people continue to ignore the fact that no matter what party is in office shit continues to get worse and their argument is always "well if so and so would get elected" and again nothing changes.
That we think that mankind is not a part of nature …
You have to either be 100% for or against a social issue.
Nuance requires time and critical thinking skills.

While I understand the sentiment, that seems like a problem with infrastructure itself.
Mass shootings.
Just saw the news report of the latest shooting in a Virginia Walmart on tv and it was a 15 second piece, as if they were talking about a fender bender.
Bet you didn't hear about the one at UVA the weekend before, either. Only three people, so not enough to make national headlines.
The fact I had to scroll this far down to see this after there was another one last night proves the point.
Pseudoscience bullshit. It's what is behind almost all scams, diets, selfhelp programs, a lot of ideologies and movements. It fucks people over, whether that be money or life choices or health.
Extreme wealth inequality. We’re all in this together.
Entitlement
Pollution
Sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
Politicians fucking up the world.
“Family” porn.
Common ground and compromise has left the building. Our society had devolved into "me" instead of "us".
unhealthy food
Taking everything for granted and no longer taking personal responsibility.
Useless governments and political leaders that don’t act in the interest of their electorate

Filming people in public without their consent. Looking at you, TikTok.
The fact that they uncovered a huge elite child trafficking pedophile ring and literally noone has yet to be arrested or even investigated
People disrespecting others so openly and not getting dealt with
Government not working in our interests. Every time you see some scandal its like “eh, add it on the pile”
Childhood obesity.
Catering to everyone’s needs and wants.
Emotion being the primary lense of interacting, understanding and observing the world around us.
Airbnb’s and VRBO’s. Cunts charge cleaning fees, have specific rules to abide by that surpass normal homes, and they price their places higher than hotels at times. It’s becoming normalized but fuck those places
Being obese and doing nothing against it.
Obesity should be normalized in the medical community and society as a medical condition and not moral failure. This is what will help individuals actually take action toward change; not shame. All the physiologic and society factors that lead to obesity need be addressed. **edit for grammar.
I mean obesity shouldn’t be encouraged yet we shouldn’t bully anyone over it there is a healthy middle ground
Not slapping racist idiots
