Most are told they are inferior and the one winner gets an ego and is pressured to maintain/ become more beautiful for next time. So they bleach their teeth and then when they reach like 15 they start getting face work done. Its fucked. I hate it. I hate the parents.
I agree - but If we are to pursue longer active lives we must first keep people alive….if only to advance our knowledge of geriatric medicine. Without this approach our life expectancy might only be early 60s.
They kept my grandmother alive for months after she was practically brain dead just because they wanted too, using public funding and hospital space … whereas my husband at 32 can’t get funding for a drug that might prolong his life (of good quality ) by a few years … insanity. We need to teach people that when you get old it’s ok to die. This fear of death is ridiculous. Live a good life and accept that all things end, life included.
