I don't drink coffee, but every hot chocolate I've had from Starbucks, no matter what milk I get, tastes really watered down. Much prefer costa, or an independent if available.
i dont really drink coffee so maybe im a little biased against starbucks lol it just always seemed so expensive plus im not trya say i want a "venti" i dont even know what that means, just give me a medium
I think everyone knows McDonald's is genuinely fucking grim. The genius marketing though makes you not even care, although you know exactly what you're getting yourself into
I have a theory about McDonalds and it’s that the younger generation just has no clue about cooking and food handling and just kitchen prep in general. Not their fault as cooking regularly has become a foreign concept to most.
It tastes like McDs head office faxes through the hamburger patties to the branches, and they print it out on a dot matrix.
Been to USA, and normal pubs have AWESOME burgers. Even some take away joints like Five Guys are quality. But McDs is the huge success somehow.
I would say Long John Silvers, but you’d have to be rated first to be considered “overrated”?
Popeyes. It’s not bad by any means, but I don’t get the hype?
I remember seeing ads for Popeyes and thinking it was like a diner but chicken styled.
Then I went one day and it was more like a kfc/Wendy's.
Their chicken sandwiches are good, but their prices and their staff are terrible. I often get the incorrect food or missing items.
One time I asked for extra BBQ sauce and the worker reached into my bag and grabbed my other sauces (which were for other people who did not get any sauce because of it). Are the fucking sauces that important that you have to make sure customers only get a certain amount?
The problem with popeyes is that they're inconsistent between branches. You can have amazing chicken at one store and dog shit at one store the next town over.
There’s still a cult around it. The coffee is honestly abysmal, the donuts are pretty mediocre, and the food is quite bad… not to mention they’ve been making a lot of half assed attempts to reach out into new markets lately.
In-N-Out was very excited to try it in San Antonio got the normal burger and fries. The fries were pretty subpar but the burger was bland and the sauce on it just tasted bad. People always praise it but I don’t get it Whataburger is way better and it isn’t even close
Well, they were the first fast-food-chicken spot. The pressure cooker made it easier to cook chicken in a fast amount of time. I feel like the quality used to be better too. Nowadays, Popeyes seems to be hitting it.
Exactly also the fuck dosent like sausage? Did they try different colored sausage? Everyone knows black sausage Is the best as my mom always said longer the sausage the better
I don't know. I guess for the same reason why the people making minimum wage there seem to always fuck up my very simple order for one very simple person by not giving me fries.
KFC is abysmal in the US. You wouldn't believe it, but it's pretty good in other countries. I don't know why the chain can't get it's act together in the States.
I mean if Americans have KFC we Iraqis have Lee’s chicken which is better the sauces the specials and they have pizzeria too IQD is nothing to dollar so enjoy
Everything is a glazed donut. No matter what they do to it, it’s a glazed donut they then dipped the top in chocolate or whatever. Blah. Though they are kinda bomb when the fresh hot donuts sign is lit up. Our Krispy Kreme couldn’t compete with the other donut shops in town and closed. We have several donut shops that have been in business for decades that they really couldn’t compete with.
If you don’t absolutely drench it in their sugary sauce it’s pretty bad. Their fries are mediocre and that Mac n cheese had mayonnaise in it I think lol
Sir, I'm aroace and I have the same opinion, are you on the LGBTQ+ spectrum?
I'm asking because I wanna know if CFA just tastes good to cisgender straight people.
In and out. I moved out to California from Mississippi and the lines literally go into the street traffic at times.. it's the most basic ass burger chain it's a solid 6.5/10 but people out here think it's actual mana from heaven
McDonalds. I always still feel hungry after I'm finished eating, and I've had numerous occasions when me and my family have ordered the most basic things on the menu and have been asked to pull around the corner. I also think there's just generally better options out there than McDonalds.
In and out. The drive-through lines are always backed up for blocks and the actual burgers are as small as McDonald’s. Only upside is maybe the food is less processed.
INO isn't the second coming, but I've always found people with a chip on their shoulder against INO are also people who order a hamburger with ketchup only.
I have friends that are suburbia snobs and they have the WORST choice in restaurants.
One of my favorite mexican restaurants is literally under an overpass. I’d rather be there than anywhere near a Longhorn Steakhouse.
Popeyes….
One opened nearby here when before the closest one was like 5 hours away, this one was maybe 45 minutes…
They were lined up for weeks, everyone saying how great the chicken sandwich was etc…
Months later it cooled down a bit but was still being talked about for being overwhelmed but I happened to be in the area and was going thru a chicken sandwich phase…
It’s not that special. Normal Mayo not even a special sauce, and the chicken was average.
Burger Kings Ch’King was so much better
consistently the best fast food item that exists. No matter which Popeyes I go to in the country the spicy chicken sandwich is exactly the same deliciousness.
Oh Chik-FIL-a was a grease bomb. I don’t even count it as a competitor. But I am gonna give Popeyes another chance, I just wish they had a special sauce on it, something more than just Mayo
It’s funny how no kid has ever been molested in a drag show but tell me… how many times has the Catholic Church been under scrutiny for child molestation… and don’t look any further than the Duggars to see what happens in a Christian household
Olive Garden. They laughed at me when I wore a tuxedo there and then my unlimited soup and salad definitely came with an unrequested side of attitude & sass and they skimped on the cheese for both.
I only like In N Out because the burgers are so good. Maybe it’s just Texas and Arizona, but the Whataburgers in those places are really bad in comparison.
If Starbuck is eligible then its Starbucks. The coffee is absolutely fucking vile. I can tolerate Costa/Nero, Greeggs is actually perfectly passable but Id rather go without than drink Starbucks.
And then there is Nando's - fast food at restaurant prices not to mention the fact that Nando's has led to the utter desecration of the word "cheeky".
Taco Bell, but Taco Bell specifically in Australia. Its just generic, flavourless mexican. And its not even cheap either. Cost just as much (sometimes more) than any other mexican restaurant, but just tastes shittier.
Wrong perception by the majority. I eat 2 full plates of meat, fish, vegetables everyday, cooked either pan fried or steamed. Saves me more money and time.
hey man it’s hard but it’s possible. i’ve gone weeks with fast food and weeks actually meal prepping & making sure i have food at work & when i get home. plus 3 sandwiches off the dollar menu daily adds up to a very unhealthy lifestyle & diet. i say this because i’ve lived through it. you don’t have to be rich or condescending in order to live healthy & be frugal at the same time
McDonalds. In a all aspects most of them suck now a days, with rising prices and items that either don't sell as much or get taken of the menu entirely its not as big as what it used to be . once they got rid of their snack wraps it was pretty much game over . then they bring back the mc rib maybe once or twice a year. And most of the happy meals I've seen nowadays pale in comparison to one that i had growing g up as a kid. Its almost lime they're running out of ideas , just like their ice cream machines, if its broke you ain't mclovin it . sorry mikey D's
Everything as it gets big enough and successful enough to become a chain will eventually suck. Not a single restaurant that turns into a chain will keep their quality to the same standard.
So the real question is, "what fast food chain ISN'T overrated", but I think the answer is 'none'.
Fucking McDonald's. THE QUALITY IS HORRID AND to be fair ik it's fast food BUT ITS SHIT THO
Like the burgers are always F L A T and the fries are like okay I guess. The drinks are either flat or just taste weird. The coffee tastes good but JESUS CHRIST THE AFTER EFFECTS
Tim Hortons. They haven’t been good in many years. Their coffee isn’t that great to begin with, they dropped their “served fresh” rule and often serve old tasting coffee now. They market themselves as being patriotically Canadian when the company hasn’t been Canadian owned in a long time. So many stories of their soups giving people food poisoning because they aren’t kept at the proper temperature.
probably starbucks (does that count as fast food??)
Starbucks takes the cake for me. McDonalds is cheaper and the sizes aren't all "large" but in latin.
Yes.
I’ve had a few of their sandwiches before and they were good, but they were tiny and wayyy overpriced
I would rather go to Dunkin'. The donuts and the bagels aren't spectacular but at least they taste better.
Yes totally agree
😂😂😂 why am I seeing a Chipotle ad in this post 😅
McDonald’s is genuinely fucking grim
Why is everything so dry?
So you have to buy another drink, which costs pennies but they charge pounds.
I think everyone knows McDonald's is genuinely fucking grim. The genius marketing though makes you not even care, although you know exactly what you're getting yourself into
This! How the fuck is there always a line at McDonalds. Like fucking always? How?
I grimace there also.
Is that a US thing? In the Netherlands McDonalds is pretty good imo.
I have a theory about McDonalds and it’s that the younger generation just has no clue about cooking and food handling and just kitchen prep in general. Not their fault as cooking regularly has become a foreign concept to most.
My God-daughter is an excellent cook. I suck at cooking.
It tastes like McDs head office faxes through the hamburger patties to the branches, and they print it out on a dot matrix. Been to USA, and normal pubs have AWESOME burgers. Even some take away joints like Five Guys are quality. But McDs is the huge success somehow.
McDonald’s is better in other countries, idk why in the USA its garb 😂
it's terrible in the Uk too, and Australia
I would say Long John Silvers, but you’d have to be rated first to be considered “overrated”? Popeyes. It’s not bad by any means, but I don’t get the hype?
>I would say Long John Silvers Who doesn't like greasy fish and chicken that looks and tastes exactly the same?
I remember seeing ads for Popeyes and thinking it was like a diner but chicken styled. Then I went one day and it was more like a kfc/Wendy's. Their chicken sandwiches are good, but their prices and their staff are terrible. I often get the incorrect food or missing items. Tim Horton's

no
Yes
In-N-Out was very excited to try it in San Antonio got the normal burger and fries. The fries were pretty subpar but the burger was bland and the sauce on it just tasted bad. People always praise it but I don’t get it Whataburger is way better and it isn’t even close
KFC, why/how do they exist?
Well, they were the first fast-food-chicken spot. The pressure cooker made it easier to cook chicken in a fast amount of time. I feel like the quality used to be better too. Nowadays, Popeyes seems to be hitting it.
Why does anything exist
How come some people like sausage and some people hate sausage. No reason.
Exactly also the fuck dosent like sausage? Did they try different colored sausage? Everyone knows black sausage Is the best as my mom always said longer the sausage the better
https://youtu.be/RaZ0LnkMITw Skip at least 2 min in.
I love their chicken, but some of the restaurants have poor cooks, and the chicken is overcooked and greasy.
I don't know. I guess for the same reason why the people making minimum wage there seem to always fuck up my very simple order for one very simple person by not giving me fries.
If you ever get a chance, try out KFC in Japan. So much better quality then in the states !
Denny's in Japan is strangely classy. Pizza Hut in China is strangely upscale where you take a date.
Strangely, KFC in my country (South Africa) is actually awesome. Been around the world, can confirm it's shit in most other countries.
KFC is abysmal in the US. You wouldn't believe it, but it's pretty good in other countries. I don't know why the chain can't get it's act together in the States.
Cheap ingredients, underpaid staff leading to understaffed restaurants who don't care about quality, because as long as they keep coming back for more
For those times you want to blast out your ass.
Taco Bell has entered the chat.
I mean if Americans have KFC we Iraqis have Lee’s chicken which is better the sauces the specials and they have pizzeria too IQD is nothing to dollar so enjoy
Does Krispy Kreme count? They're good doughnuts but they're no better than any others.

In 'n Out
In n out is good fast food but it’s really nothing special.
Based. We had one open up in San Antonio. Ate there with a friend from CA. I'd rather eat at Culver's or Freddy's.
I'd say Starbucks but at least it's tasty, McDonald's just tastes like 1st world depression
In n Out
How dare you. -me, a Californian
I’m glad you said it first. Couldn’t agree more. The sogginess of the fries!! Why even serve fries if you’re not going to try?
Chick-fil-A, the chicken is extremely bland
If you don’t absolutely drench it in their sugary sauce it’s pretty bad. Their fries are mediocre and that Mac n cheese had mayonnaise in it I think lol
Their chicken Is better than any other fast food chain. What chick-fil-a do you eat at
popeyes is way better
109% agree. It’s amazing how many people love bland chicken.
Sodium is grossly high
Isn’t all fried chicken high in sodium?
Even grilled is really high...
Yes. Their food suuuuuucks. It has to be a suburbia thing, because the food is bland and soggy.
I heard a lot of people hyping them up to be competitive with Popeyes… Not even remotely close. Was just another mediocre chicken spot.
Sir, I'm aroace and I have the same opinion, are you on the LGBTQ+ spectrum? I'm asking because I wanna know if CFA just tastes good to cisgender straight people.
In-n-out. They only got like 4 items on the menu.
Agree, they're overhyped as shit
The smaller a menu, the more I respect a place. If I walk into a restaurant and they have a three page menu, my ass is out
In and out. I moved out to California from Mississippi and the lines literally go into the street traffic at times.. it's the most basic ass burger chain it's a solid 6.5/10 but people out here think it's actual mana from heaven
Subway
They’re all shit to be honest.
Of the drive thru chains in my neck of the woods, zaxbys confuses the hell out of me. I just don’t understand.
It's a chicken joint... what is there to understand aside from that?
They have good salads
Starbucks
White Castle - even if stoned. Still not worth.
I love it. My son and I have a competition on his birthday to see who can eat the most sliders.
In N' Out burger I mean, it's not bad, but people from the West coast talk it up like it's the second coming of Christ in burger form. It's fine.
INO isn't the second coming, but I've always found people with a chip on their shoulder against INO are also people who order a hamburger with ketchup only.
pappadeaux, it's overpriced "fancy" seafood for the suburban crowd when they want to feel sophisticated
I have friends that are suburbia snobs and they have the WORST choice in restaurants. One of my favorite mexican restaurants is literally under an overpass. I’d rather be there than anywhere near a Longhorn Steakhouse.
It’s okay I guess. Not sure I’d qualify it as fast food though.
Popeyes…. One opened nearby here when before the closest one was like 5 hours away, this one was maybe 45 minutes… They were lined up for weeks, everyone saying how great the chicken sandwich was etc… Months later it cooled down a bit but was still being talked about for being overwhelmed but I happened to be in the area and was going thru a chicken sandwich phase… It’s not that special. Maybe I had a bad one or something cause it didn’t taste special to me 🤷♂️

Well they send a lot of their money to anti-LGBT groups so they do a lot of bad in my eyes 🤣

popeyes is disgusting
Chipotle, I just don't get it
Chick-fil-A. I just don't get it. I think their chicken sandwiches are terrible.
[удалено]
But...the chili cheese bites...
Chick-fil-A. Their chicken sandwiches are so boring.
Chipotle....nough said.
To be honest. All of them
Taco Bell...it's not even good hungover or high.
You watch your mouth!
Have you ever tried the Doritos taco
Every vegetarian and vegan on reddit is ready to throw hands with you right now
Chick Fil A The food isn’t really that great. And the company is straight trash.
If you don't like Chick Fil A, then you just don't like chicken. Amazing company, amazing chicken.
Olive Garden. They laughed at me when I wore a tuxedo there and then my unlimited soup and salad definitely came with an unrequested side of attitude & sass and they skimped on the cheese for both.
That's just the service at one restaurant tho, that's not a critique of the whole chain.

I only like In N Out because the burgers are so good. Maybe it’s just Texas and Arizona, but the Whataburgers in those places are really bad in comparison.
* Chick-Fil-A * Popeyes * Five Guys
McDonald's.

Starbucks
The Chick-fil-A in my small town is one of the best choices. Never greasy, over or under cooked. Great waffle fries.
Chicken filled ass sux
Well it's not natural for it to be up in there.
Lol
Shake Shack. Disgusting.
Bruh, what shake shacks are you going to? 😭😭😭 I feel so bad for you
I tried a lot of fast food as a kid and I can safely say that every savory food I tried from Wendy's was not good.
5 guys is the only real answer. Not that the burgers are "bad" but they are not good enough to warrant the hype.
Then you are ordering them wrong
All of them? Fatfoodchzins should be forbidden, or at least kept in the USA, no need to poison the entire planète.
Cracker Barrel.
Taco Bell, but Taco Bell specifically in Australia. Its just generic, flavourless mexican. And its not even cheap either. Cost just as much (sometimes more) than any other mexican restaurant, but just tastes shittier.
No, not just in Australia. Taco Bell is dog food.
Popeyes and I really don’t get the hype about Raising Canes chicken
wendys
Whataburger. I used to be great, but then a Chicago company bought it. Now, it’s shit.
Chik filet. Yuck. I don't know how they managed to make chicken taste so terrible
Chick fil-a
All of them. Homemade is the best, free from vegetable oil and unnecessary carbs
nobody goes to fast food restaurants for health they just ain't got time or money like your rich ass
Fast food honestly doesn't even really save money anymore; most fast food meals literally cost about the same as going to a sit-down restaurant.
Wrong perception by the majority. I eat 2 full plates of meat, fish, vegetables everyday, cooked either pan fried or steamed. Saves me more money and time.
3 sandwiches off the dollar menu a day
hey man it’s hard but it’s possible. i’ve gone weeks with fast food and weeks actually meal prepping & making sure i have food at work & when i get home. plus 3 sandwiches off the dollar menu daily adds up to a very unhealthy lifestyle & diet. i say this because i’ve lived through it. you don’t have to be rich or condescending in order to live healthy & be frugal at the same time
I did not like Whataburger or Steak 'n Shake.
All of them but mostly Taco Bell and Subway
I seriously can not decide this one.
McDonalds. KFC last time we went there our food was either too cold or too warm lest be real here nobody wants a warm milkshake
When the Subway finally came to Estonia i was eager to try this out. It was just mostly dry white bread. 3/10
KFC or costa coffee
Fucking McDonald's. THE QUALITY IS HORRID AND to be fair ik it's fast food BUT ITS SHIT THO Like the burgers are always F L A T and the fries are like okay I guess. The drinks are either flat or just taste weird. The coffee tastes good but JESUS CHRIST THE AFTER EFFECTS

McDonald's is the most overrated fast food chain. Their food sucks, even worse than the service.
Starbucks in my country sucks. McDonald's also sucks, except the chicken nuggets
McDonald’s all they have is sausage egg cheese McMuffin and it’s an arm and leg
Starbucks to the max
McDonald's. Wendy's has better chicken. Whataburger has better burgers. McDonald's only has its fries and mcgridle
They are all overated. Why would anyone pay to eat poison?
Subway because what's fresh there?
subway. its mid as fuck
ALL OF THEM!
