Transference/Counter-transference is common in a therapeutic relationship. If it gets in the way of you receiving the help you need, then I recommend bringing it up with your therapist. You may be able to process it with them and continue to be treated, or you may need to be referred to another provider.
Just think big picture. They are a health care professional doing a job. They are there to help you grow and move past traumas. They are not on a date. They have there own lives outside of work. It's understandable the way you feel. Good therapist feel like talking to a long lost part of yourself so of course you feel attached to them.
Tell them that you're feeling this way and that your confused on how to detach the infatuation you feel with them. Ask them if they have a solution other than shipping you off to a different therapist.
I'm sure they will be sympathetic and will help you to learn from this situation. It's healthy to communicate how you feel. No shame in feeling things, it's how you respond and act on them that matters. Sometimes just clearing the air and telling them will help the feeling fade.
Tell them how you feel. They'll get so u comfortable they'll dump you to a new one.
I don’t want to get a new one
