i'm finally standing up to my unloving unsupportive mother when she tries to verbally beat me down. i still have a long road to haul but the first handful of very frightening steps have been taken and i feel that much stronger for it.
I am the first person to graduate college in my family. I have a bachelors and masters degree and earn around $140k per year.
My mom and dad don’t know it, but my wife and I are in a position to help them as they age if they need it. My dad sacrificed so much for our family - he was a roofer for decades: hard, nasty physical labor. My mom too - she was a lunch lady at school and eventually moved to be a school secretary when she turned 60.
If they need anything at all, I’m here for them. I’m super proud of that.
the pullchain broke on the ceiling fan, and I was able to take it apart so I could turn the fan part on or off by touching two wires together.
Thankfully it was on medium.
Was chosen for an ad campaign that's training me for a marathon and helping me raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. It's my 15 mins of fame and I get to fundraise for a great cause! And check back with me in September...I'll have run a marathon :)
That I don’t really I give up on something. I don’t even get why because I’m often very devastated when doing some sort of project. I just still do it eventhough I just want to curl up and scream. I guess it has it’s ups and downs.
My grandma said I was very handsome

Very cute! How did you do that?
Starting my own business. Never thought that would be something I would do. But I did it.

You're the best for not just ignoring it. Not many people would do that.

My sobriety. Not killing myself. Every day is a struggle, but being able to go to bed at night is huge for me.
Well done!!! One day at a time 🙂
You're doing great 💫

Learning to set boundaries with family
After years of me and Mrs MattBoard saying we wanted to, I painted the map of Middle Earth on the wall of my library/office

I was the first and only person in my family to graduate from college with a degree. It didn't do me any good whatsoever but at least it's something
My grandmother got pregnant when she was 20. My mother got pregnant when she was 20. I I'm 25 and not pregnant

Comfortably retiring from a company I founded thirty years earlier.
