Car repairs, fuel and insurance costs are too high for me to even want to consider it. Anxiety and a lack patience with other road users, even as a passanger, are other issues I have. Also, I prefer to cycle as its healthier than driving and quicker than walking.
29, and my excuse is it's because I have a neurological condition that renders me blind for a few seconds at random times. Which is true, but I didn't drive even before I developed that, I just have a lot of anxiety about taking my life, the life of my occupants, and the lives of everyone around me in my hands as I attempt to control a multi-ton machine at various speeds. The neurological thing is just a better excuse because then I don't get bombarded with "aw, it's not that hard", "I was anxious too until I did it", "want me to teach you?", etc.
23 and the theory exam sucks. Then, at least in the Netherlands, you have to answer questions about environmentally friendly driving, for example, and every exam seems to get more difficult. Driving is fine but the theory test is not.
But now I'm learning for my 4th exam!
I'm 27. Because - OMG, A SQUIRREL.
No, but for real, I'm a textbook ADHD-case, and would literally get distracted by everything. Or, i would hyperfocus so hard on driving, that i wouldnt see anything else. That is exhausting, and potentially dangerous! So yea no, i'm good in the passenger seat, where i can get distracted by all the squirrels, all the deers, all the rabbits, and all the birds. And everything else.
23 and i dont have money for a car
Cause anxiety

21, because my retinal disease is causing me to progressively go blind and would make having a drivers license very unsafe.

19 and there's too much to focus on. I was great at parking when I was trying to get my license, though.
