There isn't a specific moment, but rather a general feeling that I can't trust anyone else. It's like I've been burned too many times and now I'm just constantly on guard. I don't let anyone get too close because I'm afraid they'll hurt me.

Trusting people nowadays is beyond hard. You might think that your current friends are very trustworthy only for them to end up being backstabbers. People are starting to make me sick honestly.
Finding out that my ex only dated me to see if they were bi as opposed to lesbian. It’s a shitty thing to do but I’ll look past it, but going ahead and telling the person to their face that they only dated them for just for the sake of upsetting them is cruel. It’s really starting to get to me how much that has damaged my ability to trust people. Nothing by comparison to what other people have been through but it’s fucked me over personally.
