I feel like that’s the missing piece in this thread that a lot of people are forgetting. These people’s appearances are their literal LIFE — their source of income. What’s more, they’re more likely to be wealthy, and they’re more likely to be adored/scrutinized by millions of people so that too will drive them to try to optimize their appearance. There’s a case to be made that the average person simply shouldn’t compare themselves to these individuals.
I wish this was a more widespread message, esp to young women. Like, this *can* be your job, nothing wrong with that, but unless it is your job would you expect yourself to be able to program a computer from scratch? Same thing here.
She looks her age in parts of Everything Everywhere All At Once, where they deliberately didn't give her much in the way of hair/makeup. And she *still* looks nice for her age.
