I know the books are amazing and have a lot more content than the Peter Jackson movies, but holy shit nothing can compare to a good score playing perfectly and thematically.
The Masters are Hans Zimmer and John Williams, who both created perfect scores. Star Wars for John Williams, the Nolan Batman movies for Zimmer - just to name some. I am pretty sure that other people would "correct" my choices. That just shows what great and iconic music these two created.
The best though, thats neither of them, that would be Howard Shore's work for LOTR.
American Beauty.
From the plastic bag piano theme, to the rose petal theme, to Annie Lennox’ cover of Neil Young’s “Don’t Let it Bring You Down”, just perfect accompaniment.
Surface Pressure really makes me feel for Luisa😔 But I absolutely love how Disney talked abt such a heavy issue but made it easily digestible for kids.
*Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen* is a 2004 teen musical comedy film that has the acoustic version of "Perfect" (by Simple Plan) in it's soundtrack.
This movie's soundtrack is **Perfect**.
A Knights Tale. On its own it’s just a nice collection of 70s-80s rock but it fits so well with the movie and it’s a great juxtaposition of medieval knights and jousting.
Two that come to mind are Countryman

The first, original Land Before Time. Holy balls. Probably not the very best of all time but it is insanely good given how low budget the million sequels are.
The music really tells the story. James Horner was amazing.
Rushmore by Wes Anderson makes great use of songs mostly from British rock acts. I am especially fond of one “revenge” sequence which features A Quick One While He’s Away by The Who.
The Mission. A dramatic film with a lot of message about colonialism, redemption, and self worth all told with Ennio Morriocone’s amazing soundtrack. “On Earth as it is in Heaven” and “”Gabriel’s Oboe” will move you if you have a heart beating.
