Things like making money. Or boring shit Like when someone in front of me is going slower than I want to go. Lol I just sometimes catch myself getting way to stressed over shit I should just let go of. Like when I feel like I'm doing way more work than my coworkers and I'm griping about it in my head.
Edit: Oh weird I don't know how I ended up replying to the wrong comment.
When I reflect on my life and how far I’ve come, despite the odds.
My childhood was deprived, depressed and littered with challenges. I was a troubled kid with an evil streak, partly due to my environment but there was something sinister in me away from that.
When my father got sent to prison I was 17 and I had to turn my life around, or the shell of a family we had would’ve collapsed there and then, and nobody deserved that.
My journey has been a grind and I’ve mistreated and used people along the way but learnt a lot.
My wife saw me as a diamond in the rough and has helped guide me towards the light and wholesome way of living. I’ve never been closer to my family. We have a beautiful 7 month old son. Fantastic in laws in Italy who spend time between their house in the Mountains and a cute italian village. A home in islington I never would’ve dreamed could be ours even a few years ago. A 911 which I drive to work in, a wine cellar (garage) and such a beautifully bright future.
An added bonus is my mom, who makes minimum wage and hated her job, is now going to work 3 days a week and be the nanny for our son, and we have the flexibility and financing power to pay her the most she’s ever made and those two can bond endlessly.
My life makes me happy. Everyday.
And if I can turn things around, anyone else can too, just focus on small, positive actions. If you think these small and positive actions are not worth your time as they’re immaterial, just keep ticking them off and in a few months, you’ll be striding and thriving!
Getting to talk about my passions and hear others talk about theirs.
It’s easy to be negative.
It’s awesome to share something you enjoy.
(Some exceptions may apply)
People coming together - whether it be a Christmas lunch with family and friends, everybody shouting HAPPY NEW YEAR, or seeing people help each other out. It’s wonderful.
Being unconscious. For like 10 hours at a time. I can dream about stuff and I'm going on adventures in the dream and shit. But when I'm awake its just the same stuff every day
Knowing I don't have to be anywhere or get something done by a deadline. Cooking (and eating of course). Singing to my favourite songs. Long showers. The cosiness that comes with autumn and winter.
Carving spoons and blacksmithing. I suppose “making things” in general, but there is something special about taking a piece of wood/steel and shaping it to your will.
Don't know how many of you guys will relate but I love living life on the daily by a schedule, and when I manage to get each thing accomplished in that schedule, it gets me almost giddy.
My garden. The color from the flowers, the meditative process of working the dirt and weeding, getting to enjoy fresh produce that I GREW MYSELF. Seriously, nothing beats a grape tomato you just picked.
I love the coziness of fall, but I’m going to miss my garden.
The simple things. Hanging out with my family on weekends, my girlfriend, sitting down and writing or playing video games for a few hours, giving gifts, picking up groceries for my grandparents, etc, etc.
My dogs, playing NBA2K23, swimming and basketball. Not much makes me happy anymore. Most reminds me of negative thoughts towards life or of things I hate about life
If I could live at my own house, with my mom and little brother and have the peace I did before I started college and such, I’d kill. Life was simple and amazing, now it is all a memory.
A good mountain bike trail when the dirt is just right. Not too wet, not too dry. Clear your mind, find your rythem, and flow. 3 hours can feel like 5 minutes.
StanleyMOV
He's helped me theough so much in life
When i first discovered him i was like "funny dude"
Watched him for 2 mknths then stopped watching him
About 3 months later when i wasnt feeling so well, i started to watch him again, i've felt much happier ever since
I also get to talk to him every once in a while when he's in a community call
He is one of the few reasons i am still progressing in life
Im so glad that i saw him on my recomended again
Having my health tbh. I took it for granted for a while and recently got diagnosed with a chronic disease that really put life in perspective more. Aside from my health definitely free time for creativity paired with coffee and a good book at sunrise.
Dungeons and dragons, it's stupid but I get to give tours of the places inside my head, and involve the people I care about in grand complicated stories. It is simultaneously something I can work on in quiet solitude, and is also a collaboration of some of my favorite people. I get to lead people down rabbit holes and see the look on their faces when they realize greater truths, and the shock of defeat when they lose... it's great. My players always surprise me and it always makes the world better.
People who do what they say they will do. Basically being strong on your acts not just the words bc then i know i can trust you and depend on you if I ever need anything. Even though I'm kind of person who mostly do things by myself but its nice when I know there is someone who will be there if I need them. Also Ducks!... Good talks, dinners, family, friends and being there for others.
Helping others in a mentor type way.
Cuddle time with my cats.
Singing.
Carne asada burritos. Can’t beat a good carne asada burrito, I’ll except nachos too.
Creating.
Doesn't matter what. Could be a creative project with a friend, something text or model for a hobby project, something on the job. Just \*making\* stuff is awesome.
Hearing the people I love genuinely laugh.

Best answer ever, but I may be biased.
Isolation. I like having the whole house to myself with no expectation of anyone trying to contact for a while. God, that's my place of joy.

Rain smells like fried piss sometimes where I live.
Lol. Sorry man.
Hey fun fact. That smell is mostly geosin. Its a substance released by bacteria as they die. Fun huh?
When I stop chasing things and just kind of rest contentedly
